A-Team turbo on board

Those are drycell VARTA, let's say a kind of Optima red, free of maintenance. I told you I'm lazy :D

ROFL, yes, it is supposed to be red, and the black paint I used was supposed to grab on it---

Ah have to love silicone and paint, if you want to see a body man cry, just spray a little in to the air in a paint shop, Fish eyes everywhere:eek: Mechanics revenge!!!

I agree jim, like i said it sucks all around. especially for the new guy with his first 6.5 that won't benifit from the likes of you and the knowledge I was privvy too

I remember when I bought my 6.5, as a green 6.5er, how happy I was when I found the Place.
I remember how happy I was when Tim (Turbine Doc), Kevin (Knkreb), Jim (the bear) ):h and other gurus and other simple members did care about my simple problems sharing knowledge and time.

Trully, I felt home, in family.

That's why I still continue posting at the place as 6.5s green owners continue asking for help. I'm not a 6.5 guru, but I'm happy to share the knowledge I could have collected---

But, trully, now that's here at the DTR that I feel home---

This is the best 6.5 site left... it's almost the only 6.5 site left.

This will continue to be run like home, Matuva... the same guys are here, the same spirit exists as when we started.

And that's the facts, Jack.

Nice pics Matuva! Now, is the intake brass or gold plated?):h
As for the politics, I still surf over there and maybe the odd post but after finding this, the familiar names, the expertise, the open discussion, the laid back attitudes, I just automatically come here. I can sense the political tension over there and while I could say I don't care, it's more like I can't be bothered. Please don't get too caught up in it here.
It's really nice to see Missys' input here too.

That is the true spirit of be being a diesel enthusiast, its not not about where you post, or the rules, or tiffs between folks, it's all supposed to be about being a family and sharing our collective knowledge.

P.S. Sorry for the very christmasy cliche type answer, but I thought it fit.

Nice to have you here, Dan, and I'm sorry for getting 'caught up in it'.

I too appreciate Missy's input, but jeez, we're still pretty short on Missy's pictures !

(just kidding, ma'am) :D

what a bunch of bullshit you guys. post where you want i guess but this "takin my ball and goin home" is not the attitude that I grew to truly respect about many of you. i am a little disappointed in this affair all around

FWIW a whole lot in background I'll not stoop to their level to muddy waters I could share about that site's demise, I did take my ball but feel I was justified and I left a whole lot of me there many a day I was at that site 12-14 hrs a day when I'd be working from home and had access to 2 computers and could almost real time answer questions as they came in; and I will probably will take it again, I will say many of us here from there have very good reason to leave, back room stuff that you would be pissed about if you knew all details.

Know this, original mission statement that site was created for was compromised long time before the sale, at it's nexus it was about Diesel guys helping Diesel guys, no longer the prime directive there just prior to and at time of site sale.

I was founding member there, (really was no 6.5 traffic there till many of the guys you see here & me got creative) and I could not bring myself to participate in the cash machine for profit mindset , I have too much integrity for that, though recently I had heard that there were some positive changes (sound like a darn Obama ad there) that would allow me to return in good concience, from this episode I'm not so sure, I'll probably back away again, doesn't seeem to be much fun there anymore.

Not quite fair my last post, I still harbor a lot of hurt how things transpired when site was sold and us mods were left on our own to clean up the mess, I really have no angst with current owners, they are in a business to run as they please, I'm just still p/o ed with way things went down last year. I'll get better eventually.

matuva..Nice paint job & pic`s, I just polished mine up and put on 5 clear coats on it, left a yellowy ting but it will have to do at the moment, better than it was...

My ATT has be shipped out of NJ so in 3 or 4 weeks it should be in good hands..:D....Thank you Dennis.....& CO...!

Edit:matuva...Isn't it supposed to be Jim (the cuddly bear)

I apologize for the drama bleed over, it was late when I read this last nite and it hit me wrong after driving all night, let's let it die.
Fret not over the drama. As part of a large Italian family, I KNOW drama, and this ain't it. ):h I originally started posting on the Oil Burners page and gravitated to the Place. I sorta missed all the excitement (too busy at work to check in much). Finding DTR was pretty much by accident - when I did check back in, I read a on the Place that mentioned a 'towing resource', so I wandered over. Glad I did. A lot of familiar names and a lot of great info and cameraderie. At some not-too-distant point, I'd like to add an ATT to my growing collection of mods. If you compare the price of any other turbo kit offered to the price of Dennis' ATT, you pretty quickly see just how valuable a 'resource' this group is!

valuable aint the word-steal is. the kit is about as easy as it can get to take a heavy equipment turbo and put it in our trucks-props to dennis

So what kind of turbo is that? looks like a mitsubisi, did I spell that right? I posted the same question at the place when all hell broke loose. After I get these $30,000 in medical bills out of the way Ill have to get the A team.

I posted this to your question at the other place but it is gone. AFAIK it's made in China to similar specks as a Mitsubishi TD07
