Um, like, wow!

Was the INOP Airbag system disclosed to you on the sale of the vehicle to you? Likely not only has the airbag gone off, the indicator light has been removed or cut wires. This is a deep rabbit hole to go down to fix. I would take a close look at the driver side airbag for molded lettering 'Does not contain airbag' or other repairs looking like the bag was cut off and cover taped up.

Ok got refund getting ready to tare in to wire harness and replace injector pump

Ok this is just the top of the ice burg of wiring I've got to deal with lol any body know what the black box is because I don't

Box is part of alarm. All those wires that are cut and electrical taped would scare me. Try to find the match/other end and hook em back up

Ok I'm thinking about doing a top half rebuild any suggestions hints and tips

And how hard would it be to convert the 96 6.5 to manual pump and a lot less electronics basically like old school car or truck

I don't think converting it will give you the immunity to fix those electrical issues.

As a matter of fact, it may add to the issue.

Just my thought.

I figured it might but right now a running burb with electrical issues is better than a burb that doesn't even go

Download Bobby Martins ds4-db2 conversion pdf. I will not own another ds4 truck. I didn't go back and read your electrical problems to see how much is related, but imo ds4 SUCKS. Let me count the problems with db2's, ok done, NONE.

One thing to remember about Bobby's guide is its for OBDI. OBDII is going to be a lot different as far as TCM hook up go's. Ive done it on OBDII and it took many months of research to perfect it.
Knowing what I know now would suggest getting an OptiShift trans controller http://leroydiesel.com/products/optishift-transmission-controller/
This will save many hours vs trying to put in a TCM.

Hell yea deff using this instead seems Easier than tapping into ecm to make a tcm work plugs and play is so much easier to use any way
