96 6.5 suburban plz help

I'd still like to see a link to this kit. Does anybody have a link? Sounds like something that would be worth having on the shelf.

When I get to actually working on a vehicle, I have to maximize my use of time. I can't spend a lot of time searching for and ordering parts. I try to keep some stuff handy. I never know when I won't feel like working on something or when the next time I will be able to work on something again will be. I just keep plugging along

GM label #1530-6189 CONNECTORMDL-REM and again "aftermarket kits are available on the bay."

The repair involves replacing wrong gauged wire w/correct larger gauge wire to prevent future melting. Space is at a premium where the harness is and depending on how it was routed when built could melt into radio/cd/ or amp harness removing glove box, instrument cluster bezel, radio, cd/tape player, hvac head maybe necessary to examine all the harnesses for them. The steering column maybe has to be removed and the dash rolled on its pivot pins in some situations for repair.

Thanks guys I'll have to check it all when I get it home the air compressor that I use to blow out fuel lines is froze at this time

Dose any one know what those are and could they be the reason of my electrical problems

Not likely from your description. Did you check the harness, or?

I see there is no vehicle speed sensor buffer plugged into the plug that is visible just above the ECU in the 2nd picture did that black box in the upper pictures plug into it, or?

Yes that plug was plugged in to the black box but when plugged in it won't turn over

That doesn't look like any VSSB I've seen in the GMT400's as for the box you claim plugs into the VSSB socket it maybe an aftermarket anti theft vssb controller you need to read what is imprinted on the box to find that out, or not.

I don't know it was in plugged when I got it plus like I did when it plugged in it won't even try to start dish lights up glow plugs work but starter don't work

Again did you check the HVAC fan controller harness or? If it is good suspect the ignition starter switch in steering column, or that module could be an issue too.

Then until such time as you can get a diagram of its circuitry you up the creek as they say because more likely than not -its shut down your ignition starter circuit or the ignition starter switch has gone south as they say.

First one is an alarm or remote start or something like that. There seems to be a wire pin out printed on the box. Any of them say "starter" ?
The second one "made in Canada" looks factory, where was it plugged into? Door chime maybe??

I don't know where it was plugged in at and the other I believe has a starter cord on it
