2007 R-VISION MAX-SPORT SERIES M-26BHS

Not knowing the specifics Awning size fridge size furnace size [btu] I went in the middle. So if you can get it for 11-11.5 it would be okay. But that is high retail and they would probably go 9.5 to 10 thou. if you play hardball. 8 thou. with yours as a trade in.

Hope this helps. Good luck.

It is on nada. The SS stands for Sport Series. After going through the nightmare of doing all the ins. companies work for them, so as not to get screwed, I can find all the info needed to prove to them what is worth. I searched many sites and gave them all the data from them to prove it. Mine wasn't listed under traditional nada either.

OK found a really nice salesman in Ocala Fl who was willing to take a few mins to help. He said they were an R Vision dealer until 09 and he never heard of a Super Sport Model but he had an old KBB and found it in there and whoslae was 9500 and retail was 12400 for an 08. This one is an 07. I am now leary about buying something that seemed to have a very limited production but from what I seem to be finding out R-vision was about middle of the road for quality.

OH I thought you meant what mine came with that I have. The R-Vision has:
13,500 ducted a/c
awning(14ft??)
DSI 6gal water heater
power inv
furnace
not sure what else I need to put in but the 2009 I posted the link for looks EXACTLY like it. The only thing the 07 I don't think had was the ladder.

most if not all of those items are standard features Kenny...JMO...I wouldn't add them in...

You have to put them in. Go ahead and leave them blank and see what value you get, low. You have to fill it in to get the the correct value. If you don't fill it in how do you think the value is determined. Even standard equipment. Leave them blank and all you have is a shell to determine the value.

That's a fact. Not my opinion but how the ins. company and DMV determines the value. Atleast in my state.

I wish it were that way, than the taxes would be cheaper, and if that were true they would have totaled mine instead of repairing it. Because it would have been valued 5000 less then what the replacement cost would have been. Hence it was repaired not totaled.

That is the fact and I stand behind it. I just don't want to see anyone get screwed. Leave them blank and you get wholesale or trade in value.

well I spoke with someone(owner ??) at Monaco who now makes Trailite(R-Vision) and he said there are plenty of Super Sport models out there and they are still in production. He said it doesn't show up on NADA becuase it probably slipped though the cracks. He said he thinks the camper is worth anywhere from 9,500 to 11,500. He though 12,500 was a little high and that is the manufacturer so a haglling I go. As far as quality it looks like a fleetwood or a springdale. I think they are basically all the same in the price range. Everything in it is made by all the same companies (norcold, domteic, suburban atwood etc.) I know how to repair them myself so I'm not worried about little things.

I wasn't sure if you could run carfax on these but it said there was a record so I ran it. It came back as "Sold at NY Auto Auction 3-18-09" I wonder if this was a FEMA Trailer ??

You'll have to do a title search to find out. But chances are it's a repo.

I have researched fema trailers and most are 2006-2008 cavaliers/ home models, residential toilet and fridges. The true TT are pumas and zingers.

There are other makes and models, but I never saw an rvision at the auctions, but it is possible.

Regardless of how they do it in your state...standard features are not to be added to the price as they are included in the price of the RV from the manufacturer....if you look at the top under the model...(ex.) M31BHDS(31' bunk house double slide)it will tell you "2 slides"...so you don't add those 2 slide outs into the price...that model was only built with 2 slides and it is included in the price...same as if that model was only made with fiberglass sides...then you would not add fiberglass sies under the option cause it simply was not an option...it was standard equipment...I can see where you'd want to sell your own and try to use that trick to get more for it(not honest imo) but to pay for a standard item a second time when you are purchasing it would be just plain foolish...

now take my 1971 prowler...back in 71 they didn't come with A/C standard... it was an option...so I would need to add A/C to the price...

you just have to research and find out what items came standard and what items were optional at the time the trailer was sold new...

there are lots of nice FEMA trailers available down here...not just the spec trailers with household fridge and toilet...in the beginning right after Katrina...the Gov't went to every trailer dealership and bought every bunkhouse "true" travel trailer they could get their hands on at full retail...some were never used...some hardly used and some wore em' out...

I'm looking at a few right now that are in tip top shape but are corrugated aluminum sided(I wanted the Fiberglass) but I may settle for one of the aluminum sided ones as long as I can get the floorplan I want at the price I'm willing to pay...

other FEMA spec trailer(all white usually) makes are Fleetwood Dutchman Pilgrim and Cavalier...I'm sure I will think of more and add them to the list

Actually Pepp, I gotta side with Rob with the adding of the stuff. You don't add the slide if it has one in the description but yes you do have to add all the other stuff as they come with different options which is why it's not included in the base price. In other words looking up my ss-26bhs AFAIK Slide is included but the furnace, AC etc have to be added as it came with different ones.

I got the trailer for 12k. The owner of Monaco(Manufacturer) told me it was probably worth 11,600. It booked at 12,400 according to Tradewinds RV sales in Ocala Fl who had a KBB with that exact trailer but an 08. Comparable Springdales etc seem to be in that price range of 13k. The camper has a really nice layout with huge amounts of storage everywhere and under the back lower bunk I think I could slip a slimline Genset in there if I prepare the area properly with shielding. So unless the bank says no I should hopefully have it by next week. If I win the Burb at auction I'll have an extra tow vehicle too so we can now take the Great Dane. I don't think I could have done anymore homework and feel I am probably paying 500-1000$ more than it may be worth but that is subject to opinion. I'm real close as far as I can tell. The camper is spotless and still smells new.

If it suits you and serves all your needs than you did fine, I looked for a year and a half for the perfect one. When my gut said this is it I bought it and never looked back. I've been happy and never regretted it/ The only problem now is the wife wants a bigger one. You only pay to much if you're not happy with it, and it sounds like this is the one you've been looking for. Enjoy it kenny and may you make alot of memories with it.

same as if that model was only made with fiberglass sides...then you would not add fiberglass sies under the option cause it simply was not an option...it was standard equipment...

Yes you do. Because you have to tell nada the size of the slide and as far as fiberglass that is to determine the length of the unit. They don't factor that into the price. They assign a value based on the size of the slide, and length of the unit and that applies to all of them. You need to know that you are putting in info based on general values assigned to that equipment, not the camper. Therefore all nada does is give a baseline of what you should be expected to get or pay for said unit.

I can see where you'd want to sell your own and try to use that trick to get more for it(not honest imo) but to pay for a standard item a second time when you are purchasing it would be just plain foolish...

Please don't call me dishonest. I don't make the rules and I certianly don't agree with the system.

The RV retailers use that so called trick to screw you out of the full value on a trade in. And then turn it around and add it all in there to maximize their profits when they go to resell it.

You have to be privy to the game that's being played on you. When the DMV and the ins. company add the actual items in the unit to determine the value, It's because [A] they want to charge more in taxes or premiums, or They are determining retail or replacement value in the case of a total loss.

You can't have it both ways, unless now as the buyer you're trying to get the price down you leave it out and they add it to make you pay more.

If I didn't do my homework I would've had to except a $2500 check to replace a $8000 camper. Instead they paid the 4000 to fix it and couldn't total it.

Especially when I faxed ads to them of similar units selling for between 7500-8900 dollars.

Did I win? Sure because I pay ins. and they bet I won't use it or not do my homework and let them lowball me out of my own ignorance.

The best consumer or person for that matter is an educated person, and there's nothing dishonest about that. [IMHO].

As a conservative and I assume capitalist, you know something is only worth what some else is willing to pay.

I'm sorry to vent like this but I'm not a dishonest person and don't appreciate being called that.

The problem with opinions is everybody has one. The problem with facts is not everybody has them.

Now that that is off my chest I won't hold a grudge and hope that you don't either.
