Flint is non-conductive, a very important thing to consider anywhere that electricity is concerned. It doesn't matter what media is used, some always flakes off. Anything that flakes off has the potential to be embedded in the surface of whatever you are sanding/polishing. Anything that is...
I realize this is a bit late since I haven't been on here much for the past year. I did the CS130 to CS144 swap a couple years ago. Worked out great. It was a plug and play swap for me, electrically, and it was clocked the same as the old alt. Since my pickup was a 1994 my alt was on the drivers...
For your first question, yes. For your second question, I am not up on that kind of thing as I'm not experienced with one wire systems. But, I'm sure Terry at Truck N Tractor could help you.

If the shop you are talking about was behind the market I used to work with him. His name is Jim Morton. I don't remember exactly what happened, whether he lost his lease, or his health deteriorated enough that he was forced to quit. Anyway, the last I talked to him he was moving to Sweet Home...
Leo, I live just north of Millersburg, close to the Morningstar Grange. I changed to a CS144 a couple (make that several years ago) years ago. For me it was a plug and play experience electrically. I did have to modify the mounting brackets though. I am very satisfied with the CS144.

You are not very far off on your speedometer. I have 265/75/16 tires, one size larger than stock, and the speedometer is almost exactly on.

ps-I should have added that I have 4.10 gears , and the 4L80E transmission also.
Also, if at all possible, use the same station and pump. Different pumps can possibly affect the number of gallons used. I know that all pumps are supposed to be calibrated accurately, but the shut-off on the nozzle isn't going to be as accurate.

I have a 1994 K2500 extra cab pickup, 4.11 gears, auto trans, 265/75/16 tires, HX35w turbo, 4" diamond Eye exhaust, stock tune (I know a tune specific to the turbo would help some, but no funds for that yet). With the tire size and gearing I get 11 to 13 mpg on winter diesel, and 13 to 14 on...
That is where the powered part of the mirror comes into play. I will adjust the mirror to whatever is needed while I am backing up my trailer. My trailer is parked at a right angle to my driveway, so being able to move the mirror electrically many times while I am backing the trailer into place...
I got my mirrors from ebay, before Leroy started carrying them. However, I'm positive they are the same mirrrors. Mine have held up real good. The only thing I know of against them is in the LED lights. The drivers side lights are not as bright anymore as the passenger side. The adjuster motors...
GM Guy, I'm the one you got the tool for. Been so busy around the home place this summer that I've been rather sporadic with getting on this site this summer. I still have the tool, and if it is needed by someone the message would get through much quicker and more reliably by using my e-mail...
The install tool for the balancer that O'Reilly has does not have the center "bolt" with the correct threads for the GM crank. It seems like the other auto parts stores around here that rent tools also had the same install kit. I don't remember the size/thread, but I went down to the local bolt...
Will, the biggest difference I have been able to find is that the forklift SD22 motor had a fourth ring below the wrist pin, and only three main bearings. Sometime in 1980/1981 the motor used in the pickups went to just three rings. Also, somewhere in that time frame (maybe a little later) the...
This post is probably too late for the OP, but might help out others in the future.
There is a flat spot on the PS exhaust manifold that can be accessed from the top side without having to pull the inner fender. When I drilled my manifold I did almost what Will said. The big difference was...
Husker6.5 is correct about the Nissan diesel used in the Scout. It started with the SD33 (non-turbo), then switched to the SD33T (turbo). I have a Nissan SD22 and transmission out of a 1981 or 1982 Nissan pickup to someday put into a 1973 Datsun pickup. The SD22 is a four cylinder version of the...
Welcome to TTS! I see that you are in Southern Oregon. Close to the I-5 corridor?
Just now saw your question. Been very busy around the property/garden and haven't regularly been on here lately. To answer your question, I never went any further with this particular motor. After more searching I...
Treegump, check out this Kubota diesel swap thread on diesel bombers forum. http://www.dieselbombers.com/diesel-engine-conversions/94861-another-ford-ranger-kubota-v2203.html I just re-read this thread to refresh my memory about this. There are other Kubota swap threads on this forum, but you...
