I know on the dB2 IPs you could break out the check ball as a get you home fix but the IP was in it's death throes and coming apart internally which is what caused the clog. I doubt it would hurt anything to remove the fitting and cycle the LP.

T valve is before the filter but assuming it and the line going to the IP are good then yes. Not ideal though

So if the shut off selenoid was totally removed you should have fuel coming out of where it screws in.

I had actually seen that before. They did the repair to a very rare block. It wasn't as simple as just welding it up. The whole process took a couple of days. Then there was quite a bit of machining to do.

unless your trying to monitor how much fuel is coming out of the return line you can just leave it hooked the the truck fuel tank

I use my shopvac on the blow side. I also use it on the vacuum side to break the siphon when working on the pump

They are known to make noise and not move any fuel

Unless you disable the lift pump it will still pump fuel. The lift pump will run after cranking until the oil pressure drops. That's a safety built in so fuel doesn't keep adding to a fire in case of a wreck.

I'd be surprised if there is any clear on it. I think those stripes were hand painted on.
