Well I'm just guessing at 200 miles a tanks, and it's windy down here where I'm at, and once I get to the California Oregon boarder the weather might turn crappy. That reminds me I need to get my tire chains for the truck and trailer.
Well since I got help over here with this question. I finally got off the short bus and took off my helmet. I tested the Correct fuse under the hood, and it was in fact burnt out. Thank you guys who offered help when I thought it wasn't my fuse.
Had a buddy tell me that they had some cheap manual pump in bed tanks at a hardware store. I'm leaving next friday, and don't have the money for a replacement tanks right now. Only couple hundred bucks to spare for the moment. Nothing in the bed, and pin weight well wont know that until I go...
Ok I'm getting ready to transfer, and towing my 5th wheel RV 1000 miles to store it while I'm in Iraq. I'm kind of leary about getting an inbed tank for extra fuel. I got a 32' 14k gvw 5er. I just am not sure if putting a fuel tank in my already heavy truck will cause issues. 04 CC/LWB 4x4...
I don't even want to think about the roof on mine. I have a water leak on one of my slides. It's been sitting for a while, and pushed the slides out earlier, and discovered a wet floor.
Well got a voltmeter, and checked for resistance on the power wire, and the meter doesn't even register that I have the lead touching anything. Had 1 other pin start to read then blank out. Got readings off the other 2 wires, but didn't zero out like they should. Lowest setting on meter is...
I have a question that I've seen a few times. I've seen CAN in reference to the obd2 port. I'm not sure what that means, and don't know if it makes a difference with how the scan tool reads or not. The scan tool I'm trying to use doesn't support CAN, and I'm not sure (but don't think it is)...
No bad luck, love my truck. Just with a short box instead of Crew Cab long box I'll be able to maneuver a little better. Not 100% that I'm gonna trade it in, but if I do I'm gonna try and get a ford (cause I'm a ford guy). I'm playing with the idea right now, and if I do head that way I want...
Well I'm thinking about trading my chevy in for a Ford. I'm getting rid of my 5er before I head to Iraq so dont really need a lwb truck. This is my first Diesel, and when I get back I want to stick with a diesel. So not sure where to put this at. Any issues I should look out for, or what...
wonder if I got a haynes manual if the wiring diagram would have the obd2 test port in it.... Will have to go to the autoparts store and get a cheapo multi meter as the one I had got lost in my previous moves.
checked both the fuse under the hood and one under the dash (driverside door) both fuses are good. Now that I'm back home I'm going to try to find my test light so I can see if I'm getting power at the pins
Figured I'd ask over here as well. I bought a code reader, and it doesn't power up on my truck. I hooked it up to another truck, and it powers on. My cig lighter is kaput, but the aux power port on the same circuit is working so no blown fuse under the dash. I did a quick look at the wires...
What about sand and dirt? I have a lot of dirt on top of my engine due to the little bit of muddin done after a rain storm. Rains about 3 times a year where the road around base get's good and muddy. Is it ok to use a garden hose with no pressure to rinse off the engine, and then just give it...
LB7 in northern Mexico.... I mean southern California... Soon to be parked in Oregon for a year cause I can't take it to Iraq with me. Then after that who knows where I'll be stationed. Bought it with 194k on the ticker, and now 204k. I think my injectors might be starting to go. Figures to...
Well I signed up on a few diesel forums a while back when I bought my truck. Started to finally check out, and post on one of em. After stumbling across a thread I was told about this forum. I decided to finally check it out. The way I figure it. It's better to have more resources. Some...
