aggar you trade that 893? If not what do you want? How did the 9600 like it? I kinda want to get one, but the 643 we have seems to do a better job than most of the newer heads I see around. One guy bought a 9660 and newer 893 and our old rolls do a better job breaking stalks than his newer ones...
I love the ride on the ones I got, they are much better than the yellows were. The fronts were still just a little too short to put in at full droop though. I ended up not tightening them real far on top so they wouldn't get too short.
We had a bunch of stuff hailed bad last month. Stripped all the leaves off the corn, can see from one end of the field to the other. Starting to dent now but it pulled back a bunch, and missing lots of kernals on the west side where it hit. Beets finally grew new leaves and started making sugar...
We like to take stuff we don't use and make it into other stuff. Last year I made the old orthman bedder into a nice sprayer for dad, and took the richardton dump wagon and cut it up. Doubled the length of the running gear and made it into a header trailer for my 930. Used the cylinders to fold...
What bullshit the usda just pulls 4 million acres out of their ass to drive the price of corn down.Odd when everyone you talk to back east was planting more soybeans, especially with the wet spring and having trouble getting the corn in.
All our stuff looks pretty good. Lots of hail coming in...
I was thinking at least 200 if you went to a dealer. The moog ball joint was 50$ or so I think, it was a couple years ago. You might recall those pictures of hauling my truck out of the field with my tractor... Putting it in takes under 20 minutes if you have a press. I would say most people...
The moog I got has splines to keep it in place and a snap ring to keep it in. It required the press to put it in, so it fits pretty tight. I welded it in anyway just to be sure because I am hard on shit.
Nice new 30 series PB.
All our corn was in about a week back. Beets are coming up already.
I'm 300 acres into the custom stuff I have to do, about another 700 or so to go. The guy I am planting for right now is working the ground right ahead of me, so I am having to wait some... He has so many...
Been wet here to. Got most of the ground worked, need to spread some more fertilizer and work the last bit and start planting. We did plant 2 acres just to check the planter out. Be a couple days before we can work ground again after the last 3 inch snow.

Agtalk has the worst forum software ever. Active topics don't move up so they get lost, no PM system. Lots of posts on it though so it is usefull, you just can't expect an answer to a thread over a...
From the talk on the combine forum and agtalk, lots of acres of corn still waiting in MN and the dakotas... I was into some snow a few days finishing up some custom acres in december.
Very trimmed. No water can get in because all you cut is the fender, it can already get water in that from up higher anyway. No cutting into the cab.
Pull the fender liner out of the way and cut the pinch welded part off that sticks out there.Cut some on the bottom too, angle it in. That will...
I built my bumper on the truck with the stereo playing... Still fine a couple years later.
Some say you should pull the cables, I dunno. I used to think that but really like you say it could still follow grounds back.
