Looks good. The only thing that I would suggest it to make sure that your A Frame is more parallel with the ground. The closer that is to parallel the better it will scrap. With it being back end high the plow will have a tendency to want to dig in and trip more.
The next issue had to do with the the boost valve in the trans pump. With 04 being a transfer year some changes were made to the trans as well. The early 04's used a different valve compared to the late 04's and the valves are not interchangeable. I have an early 04 trans but was sent a late 04...
Pics of everything laid out and of the build. The clutches in this thing were pristine. The writing from the factory clutches wasn't even scuffed, but what do you expect for a truck with 26K miles on it.
Here are pics of the first issue we ran into. We went to remove 1 of the bell housing bolts from the main case and it wouldn't come out. We were able to get it out and discovered that the bolt had been tightened down to tight from the factory and broke the hole. Here you can see the crack...
Here is the clip that breaks and puts the hole in the back half of the transfer case. Mine was still in place.
Installing plate
MA pump rub fix installed
Back half of motor
Well we got the trans in Sunday with only a couple issues. Overall everything went well. I've got a few pics from the build.
Truck up on lift, draining fluids getting ready to drop everything.
Transfer case and brace out.
Trans out.
Yeah. It wasn't as bad as what I thought it would be.I glad though I had some one with experiance do it. Plus I met up with a couple members off of DP which was cool. Everything went pretty smoothly except for 2 things. 1 was we found one of the bolt holes cracked when we removed the bell...
When I took my stock exhaust off I lowered the spare tire down and also jacked the truck up by the receiver hitch. You want to jack it high enough that the rear axle droops down a bit. Then IIRC pull it out towards the front. Also, if you haven't recently go ahead and change your fuel filter...
Here it is in all it's glory. I'm not sure of the exact Precision name but it is suppose to be comparable to a 1058 from Suncoast. I didn't realize how damn heavy these things were. This is the second one to get sent out. The first one got wet and the box destroyed with no label on it. So here...

I'll be heading over to Illinois Sunday to meet up with a couple members from DP that have experience doing this...
I'm planing on getting the Cognito leveling kit here in the next couple months. My problem is that it says to run a wheel with 4 5/8 BS. I just bought new rims at the end last Summer that are 4 1/2 BS. What sort of problems am I going to run into if I were to get the kit? I'm not about to go get...
:hmmm: I'm liking this idea.
Thanks Nick. With the new mirrors on, there is vertualy no blind spot. Atleast not 1 that I have found.
I've kinda gotten bitten by the lighting bug a bit. I love being able to see alot at night while driving. HIDs though are pricey from what I've seen and the...
