Oh joy. New goodies!!

Well we got the trans in Sunday with only a couple issues. Overall everything went well. I've got a few pics from the build.
Truck up on lift, draining fluids getting ready to drop everything.

Here is the clip that breaks and puts the hole in the back half of the transfer case. Mine was still in place.

Here are pics of the first issue we ran into. We went to remove 1 of the bell housing bolts from the main case and it wouldn't come out. We were able to get it out and discovered that the bolt had been tightened down to tight from the factory and broke the hole. Here you can see the crack.

Matt, the guy in the red sweatshirt, allowed us to do the switch in his works metal fab and welding shop. Matt was able to tig it back up and then we ran a tap down it to clean the threads up. Matt also fabed up a transfer case brace similar to ones that the big companies sell. He installed that as well. Awesome welder and fab guy.

Pics of everything laid out and of the build. The clutches in this thing were pristine. The writing from the factory clutches wasn't even scuffed, but what do you expect for a truck with 26K miles on it.

The next issue had to do with the the boost valve in the trans pump. With 04 being a transfer year some changes were made to the trans as well. The early 04's used a different valve compared to the late 04's and the valves are not interchangeable. I have an early 04 trans but was sent a late 04 valve. We had to use the factory one for the time being as I was 4 hrs from home and had to get back. Here is a pic of the incorrect valve

Had an awesome time helping and watching. Also met some cool DP members. Been running around on the 100 HP tune for a couple days now. Way to much fun):h I'll have to get some smokey pics. Now that I have the trans, it makes me want EFILive and a DSP5 switch:eek::D

:hmmm: I'm liking this idea.

Here's a picture of the fog lights (with high beam bulbs, direct fit) with my low beams-

And for comparison here's just my high beams...still have to put the diode in to get the fogs to work with the highs-

I put the hi beam bulbs in the fogs tonight. Made a nice little difference. Sadly now I want brighter low beams as well. Can't really tell much of a difference with them in with the fogs, hi and low beams on though. I'll have to get a pic of it all lit up. Had to give a friend a ride after dropping his truck off at the alignment shop tonight. He has an 03 DMax and was wondering why my lights were so much brighter then his.:D

How hard is it to install the mirrors? I tried removing the door panel, and broke one of the tabs off the bezel for the window switches. I gave up and re-assembled it.

Yeah, I just put the diode in the bcm a few days ago to make the fogs com on with the highs...wow do they light up the road. I definitely won't be doing any HIDs.
