here is a thought......?
what about the pump drive gear? the motor does not come with one. I would think, that if you used the one from your(my) take out with xxxxxx miles(mine has 262k) and meshed it with the one on the obviously low mile motor i got from teds, it would hooowwel
do i...
Man you need chill out. I did what everyone, here that bought a motor ( teds or not) has done, start a thread and share the experience and knowlage.
No i did not wake right up and call them about my peoblem at 8am like you did, mostly because i got to work at 430 am. When i did get the chance...
Ricky told me that he looked at the file on my motor and it was run on the 8th and shipped on the 9th. I give people the benifit of doubt but i find it hard to belive that what i saw was done between the 9th and the 15th when i got it.
Ricky saws when they get the motor, they put it on the...
I have drilled out a return port and it really did nothing for the return flow but i think the transfer pump was junk.
i have a FASS pump so flow is not a problem. i guess my next trick ie to drill and tap the bottom of the pump housing and put a hose with a solenoid valve trigered by my...
i do veg systems on these 6.5s even though it is the worst diesel to do it to but i have worked out alot of the problems that the veg causes. one thing i want to do is increase the abount of fuel volume returning to the tank. my systems work by purging apon shut down. the return valve stays on...
as for the square pre cups, i looked at them throught the injector port and thought they looked big but foud when i took the head off they were not so i looked at the used 506 i just bought off CL and they looked the same size but when i took the head off i found it had diamonds. so i guess you...
I would have no doubts about buying another from them or telling someone to buy from them.
I kinda feel guilty having this whole FREE motor. I can bore it out and put new pistons in. Sell it or keep it as a spare.
I spoke with Margret and Ricky at Teds and all is WELL. They were very apologetic and are sending me another motor. I am having them pull the heads to check the bores first.
I AM NOTHING BUT HAPPY WITH THE OUT COME! DO NOT BE AFFRAID TO BUY A MOTOR FROM TED'S
Not only are they sending me...
i had talked to hhim befor i bought it and expressed my concerns as well and he said the few problems they had, he took care of. We will see what happens in the morning. I have no regret for taking the advise i got from here. its a great deal and i'm sure he will help me out .
I would not...
so i got my motor today and uncrated it first off a big hole in the crate, no big deal. so i pop the top to find the motor half wrapped with plastick and a rip in that. there was coolant all through the valley and some light serface rust. the valve cover on the driver sife was caved in. not a...
oh i also got 40hp nozzles and am rebuilding my injectors with a pop psi fo 2300 and ditched the stock cooling fan and went wtih tow 16'' elec with and adjustable thernostat.
i am also looking for a HX35 or at least a GM-8
Mine will be here the 17tth. I can not wait. I stripped the whole engine compartment and Dynamat the whole thing. I also gutted the interior and did the same.
I plan to pull the heads off and put my arp studs in along with new .010 thicker gaskets to drop the comp. some. The bottom end will...
My point exactly. The reason people blow the motor on propane is because the propane is flammable. It tends to ignite prematurely in the precups on an IDI. The oxygen will only make the diesel fuel burn more violent.
Ever take a clean shop rag and bunch it up, stick the end or your your under it,turn on only the oxygen for 5 seconds remove the your, light the rag? It nearly explodes.
