    Door hinge pin?

Put blocking under the door and have somebody hold the door while you change the bushings out. You'll need a door spring compressor to R&R the spring. I would drill holes in the pins and use a cotter pin instead of trying to install these pesky clips(it don't take much to f them up) to keep the...

Alain, I had the same IP issue on my 98 for 4-5 years( long story as this IP was first in another truck on another engine which displayed the same problem then too) till i finally replaced it last spring with one from my assortment of dealer take offs with a failed PMD,...no problems anymore...

    DTC 35

IP issue,it'll only get worse over time. I suggest get an other one while it is still under warranty. Although it needs fixing the LP running or not has nothing to do with this particular IP issue

How do you hotrod a Detroit 6-71?

Thanks for the info Will. 3 grand for just a turbo kit and 4 injectors is far more than i'm wiling to spend on this 45 year old tractor. The complete engine rebuild kit was only in the neighborhood of $1200.

How do you hotrod a Detroit 6-71?

I have less than 1000 hrs on the 4-53, it is in prime shape. It'll fire up in a couple seconds without start fluid after sitting still 9 months out of the year. I like to get 25-30 more ponies out of it so the SOB will pull my 567 baler without losing up to 500 RPM depending on the slope.

How do you hotrod a Detroit 6-71?

Sorry for the hijack. I have a Cockshutt tractor with a 4-53 detroit in it, it's rated at 105 HP. What would i need to do to get a few more ponies out of it?.
