Ok maybe my problem with the reader, What chip # is the stock factory chip? That way I am sure I have the correct parameters for reading it correctly? I will try that again and send it to you.
yes it does with the proper hardware. I bought the APU1 which reads the chips and saves the BIN file. You can get the 15 dollar adapter to read the factory chips, and a hd5 adapter so that it will hold the new chip and plug into the factory eprom.

My truck regularly gets weighed at the dump, certified scales. 6980 lbs with me and a full tank of fuel. My fathers 2001power stroke 250 short bed four door weighed considerably more. On the plus side of 7000 lbs with ease.
I think you are right the window between closed and open should be a small window. I would have to see how the pressure canister is adjustable. Boost pressure opens it. by acting against the spring pressure?
Ok help me out, heat soak from repeated runs or just from latent heat, because of the exhaust back pressure?
Also 6.5 it will be interesting to see if the RWHP comes up with the valve opening sooner. Might mean that exhaust back pressure plays a much larger part in our engines that boost does...
