Yesterday I got the same reading with a different scanner. PO72, 73, and 75, Descriptions: "Glow
plug control circuit" So, maybe they are talking about the glow plug module. I don't even know where that is, and if I
find it I don't know how to check it. I guess, as a last resort, we will...
The TOPDON LITE scanner indicated that the the Glow plugs in cylinders #1,3, 5 were bad. I removed
them, tested with an ohm meter and they checked ok. Then I tested them with 12 volts DC and
they would get red hot in only about two seconds. With a TOPDON PRO hope for something new
will come...
It is definitely not a grid type intake. I wish that it had been because if it was the
T-shirt would not have been sucked into the air intake. Using a borrow scanner it
says that with code P O 381-3F I have a glow plug problem and the wait-to-start ignition.
failed. I can only get to the removal...
The intake has an air heater and MAF sensor. The connection has 5 pins. I read Ohms
with the two outside pins but no connection to the center pin. I hope this helps.
With my "No Start" problem I tried using a scanner which posted a code of PO81-3F. It read "Wait to start" ign failed. Any suggestions will be appreciated.
I have finally gotten the two new AC compressors mounted and oiled. I finally bought a scanner and the only thing it told me was that the "Wait to start" ignition failed and a code of PO381-3F. So, at this point the engine won't even try to fire up although the starter spins great! I am looking...
I finally found where the AC Refrigerant is leaking out. I am going to fix that, and then apply 120 PSI to the system, and if that holds for about 30 minutes I will do a vacuum test. If it can hold 30 inches of vacuum for about another 40 minutes, I will apply the R134A refrigerant. Then, after...
I had removed only the air intake filter assembly to gain access to the dual air compressors and alternators. Meanwhile I'll keep removing air intake tubing. Maybe my son will know how to take pictures. Its 91 degrees here and presently too hot for my old body to work outside,
I only have a code reader that shows "No Code" This GMC C-5500 Topkick has been just sitting and rusting for several months. The license tag expired several months ago so I can't drive to a service center for scanning. Buick partsman says the High pressure pump is on top ine V section. I'll...
The trouble started when I forgot and left a T-shirt in the air intake for protection from stuff in the air.
while I was trying to check AC refrigerant leaks.
Well, when I started the engine it died out pretty quick. Being absented I started it a second time with
the same results before I...
