    Nv4500 bellhousing cracks

IMO the reason these crack is the lack of support rods from the motor mounts. i believe most if not all had them, but engine swaps and clutch jobs over the years have lost most of them. Whenever Im in a junkyard I keep an eye out for them.

What did you do with your GMT400 today...or yesterday....

Last week I rolled into the Idaho farm with the 95 K2500, capping off a nearly 1000 mile run from the KS farm, which isnt terribly impressive until you factor in the weight, poor old girl was at 23,240 combo weight. rolled over 451,000 miles on the trip. Prior to that it went up to MN to drag...

Coolant Filter - Who's running them?

they do offer blank filters without the SCA brick. I'd be interested in a kit if someone made a nice one for the 6.5L We run them on farm equipment, and it seems the breathing through the overflow hose, a little dirt (tractor) or chaff (combine) gets in. always nice to filter that crap out.

92-95 NV4500 engine mount to bellhousing brace rods

Hey all, I am looking for a set of brace rods for my various NV4500 trucks, it seems during clutch jobs they were removed and tossed. the 92-95 bellhousing is prone to cracking out, so I think these brace rods would help.

    Fuel pressure gauge thread.

If Leroy or John offered a kit for this I'd be game for one. I love having fuel pressure readout in our old cat powered semi. tells alot about what is happening.

    Condenser

Looks good! I ran onto some OEM Harrison dual air condensers out of a few 94 and 95 Suburbans in the junkyard in Idaho, I picked a couple up and intend on swapping them into at least the crew cab project pickup (not in signature yet, a 95 CCLB) as its is mushed over and full of crap, and the...

    Goodness, gracious 3bals RV a-fire!

I finally got around to reading this. So sorry for your loss on so many levels! Keep us posted on the outcome, I might be able to find a farmer who can help via a farm forum in case other plans fall through. Keep your chin up, sounds like that thing is begging for a clean texas pickup that is...

Napa's NEW Fleet chassis line = Mevotech TTX

So will this be able to be sourced from any Napa parts store, or only garages that are Napa certified (Napa carcare centers?) Will they be competitive on price compared to rockauto?

    Dually tires

How many miles do you put on in a year? If you can use up the tires in 5-7 years, run michelin. If it doesnt run a ton of miles, consider something else. Michelins do not age as well as others, get all dryrotted and crackly much sooner. Im sure garage storage and possibly armor-all might help...

    Power Steering Pump Dying

Me personally I'd investigate the leak, and it sounds like the hoses are letting go at the aluminum crimp, so hopefully just new hoses and should be good to go. If for peace of mind you end up changing the pump, I'd like to buy the old one. Make sure and research the EVO system and whether or...

    AC questions and opinions

Ferm, what design was the factory 94-95 Suburban? They looked quite a bit different than the trucks. I went ahead and snagged a pair last time I was in the pick and pull yard up near the Idaho farm (3 great pull yards within 40 miles, versus one yard local that is overpriced here in KS, so I hit...

Best Power Steering Pump and Steering Gear for 2006 C3500 Duramax

pump I dont think ever ran out, just low. I had put fluid in it after it sat for a while. Fired up, drove across the yard, hit brakes, pump started to growl, I shut off and topped off. Fired up and quiet again. hot, low idle in a parking lot it will whine slightly, and steering is slightly...

Best Power Steering Pump and Steering Gear for 2006 C3500 Duramax

Hey all, I have fluid leaking out of the steering gear output on the 06 Duramax, and frankly have never been impressed with the performance of the system compared t a GMT400. What is the best stuff quality'& longevity wise for a 06 C3500 that is never going to have bigger than 235/85r16 tires...

    6.5l turbo no start

I guess count me biased the other way. :) stock for stock I've had way better luck out of the DS4. Cold starts, MPG, low end torque (hill holding ability in 5th gear) lower cost of ownership, longevity, etc. have all favored the DS4 for me.

    1994 K3500 no start

I threw my back out bad August of 2019, finally back to "normal". Best thing I did was walk in some good shoes. helps build up muscles to stabilize things. Good diet and healthy living helped a ton too. went from barely able to walk to the mailbox to carrying tractor weights again. Still not...

    98 k3500 7.4 speedometer bounce/ tcc lockup problems

Any updates on this? I have a 95 K3500 6.5 5spd 4wd that is twitching, and I just replaced the speed sensor on the end of the transfer case. no change. Im suspecting the VSSB, as this issue popped up all of a sudden, and I cant feel any wear in the rear bearing or bushing. What are the...

    Glow plug discussion.

So where can a guy check to see if a vendor is a certified Delco reseller? most of my 60Gs have been swiped off ebay, but a few have been off rockauto.

Factory airbox: what am I missing?

Im really not liking this 20 minute editing window...lol Anyways, I think the 15801087 is the panel behind the headlight with the rib that is plainly seen in pic 2 and pic 4, and the one that the foam strip is resting against the rib in pic 1. Is this correct?

Factory airbox: what am I missing?

Hey all, I'm trying to get the OEM air filter setup put back together, and I wanted to check with anyone who has a known complete setup to check and see what I am missing. I know I'm missing the 15834077. I think I have the 15801087, but the one I can't really identify is the 15258717. Is...
