Hey all,
I have fluid leaking out of the steering gear output on the 06 Duramax, and frankly have never been impressed with the performance of the system compared t a GMT400.
What is the best stuff quality'& longevity wise for a 06 C3500 that is never going to have bigger than 235/85r16 tires on it?
I do have the GM cooler and magnefine filter that will be going in at the same time.
I usually go OE grade Delco on many items, but IMO GM got cheap on us on these, so I am open to aftermarket solutions.
I hear good things about PSC, but then read the OEM lines dont line up well with it, and the steering shaft doesnt fit well.
I also hear good things about PSC pumps, but I also hear that a new pump for a 07.5-10 bolts right on and is cheaper.
I have good pedal feel, do you think my hydroboost is OK to leave alone and try just a pump and gear, or should I do the booster too? what about a reseal kit?
Ive convinced myself without a cooler, all the seals in the system cant be in great shape.
Finally, Ive been running Amsoil synthetic PS fluid in all my GM pickups that dont leak. Continue to use this, or Ive read some recommendations to run GM fluid?
Any info appreciated,
Thanks!
