P0216 DTC

This ^^^. You need to get the Actual IP timing set to 3.50 or less, then you can set the TDCO.
I glanced at the actual IP timing but dont remember what it was.
Getting ready for bed, realized I still have one personal day left on the books.
I believe that these are use it or loose it kind of a leave thing and renew every June 1st.
Regardless, I decided I’m taking tomorrow(Friday) off and finish putting this truck together.
While I’m off, I think I’m going to add some length to the handle on the home made IP wrench. See if it will be easier to get installed onto them hold down nutz.

Okay.
I took the day off. Custodians gets 3 days personal time off for the year.
This is a use it or loose it time.
I had one day left on the books. Reading the union contract, personal days off resets every June 1st. Good thing I took some time yesterday and did a little study of the contract. Be a terrible bad sin to let a day off go to waste.
Now back on the truck and its problems.
IDK but maybe I should start a new thread.
But now the problems are more simple.
With the PTO option switches engaged and engine on the highest idle, watching the clear return hose. An occasional air bubble passes through.
I’ll get under and tighten connections and clamps and hope I dont have to lift the box. So the miss and skip on higher RPMs is solved.
The next thing that has Me going is the IP timing.
I’ll loosen the nutz and rotate the pump more to the passenger side.
But my biggest question is how do I get the IP timing to 3.50.
The last adjustment the IP off set came down to -2.29 but IDK if rotating the pump farther to the right side will change the IP timing.
More help needed please.
In the mean time I’ll be seeking out loose hose and pipe fitting connections.

I was able to reach and tighten on the ferrel type hose adapter supplied with the AirDog LP system, its right out of the top of the tank supply pipe/sending unit.
I got a couple turns on the nut side of the adapter, fired up the engine and still getting air intrusion.
The fittings that adapts the hoses to the AirDog have O-Rings on them, against the housing. There is only the two fittings that could be capable of leaking and intruding air into the system.
The fuel pickup/sending unit are all new from Leroy Diesel so I dont think there could be a leak from that unit.
I am wondering though, whenever I tried to adjust the LP pressure the gauge would go all wonky.
Just an 1/8th of a turn on the regulator adjustment screw and the LP sending unit would send the gauge to 30 PSI, the gauge post FFM would bounce all over.
Hang on 9 or 10 PSI then bounce to 30 then back down for a while and seldom could I get a steady gauge reading.
Makes me wonder if that AD pump is pulling in air from a gasket or a seal ?
I’ll get some help after the fsmily gets off work and have them help me to lift the box and see what I might be missing atop of the tank.
