Working on the 93......

ordered a GP removal tool from Leroy. hopefully drive over and pick it up.

picked up Leroys GP removal tool and it worked great. have only removed 2 so far, was getting dark, but will get the rest tomorrow.

installed Leroys Fuel Pressure Tap also. the bleed screw was leaking and couldn't get it to stop but this worked. will hook us a gauge later.

got all the GP's changed except one. number 7 will have to wait another day. one came out on it's own, rest were swollen. using the tool was a breeze.
had to remove the tires to reach some of them. 19.5's are heavy when remounting alone.

not sure. can you tell?

they're in the garbage so i can pull it out if needed.
i cranked it over last night after sitting all day and it started right up. first time it's done that as far as i can remember.
gonna drive it to Galveston and surprise the wife at work today.

driving tonight had a problem. sounded likely a train was next to me, boost gauge was quickly going from -5 to +5, started to buck going 50 with GV and TC locked. came to a stop and it sounded like is was missing. pulled over and engine looked okay with no leaks. oil looks good. sounded more pronounced on the pass side.
my thought is head gasket.
will either drive it 30 miles home or get it towed.
any thoughts?

that looked good.
just before we hit the road, i reset the timing and it ran great, for 10 miles. i don't have lock washers on the IP hold down nuts. hoping they came loose and timing is out of wack. i should be so lucky.
waiting for AAA to take it to the house so i can get a better look at it.

timing was where i had set it so i ruled that out.
here's a vid of it running like poop:
any thoughts?
