White smoke @ hard accelerations

I removed the plug and is it possible that the short is inside the engine? What's involved with changing this? I'm thinking that since I can only plug-in in the mornings, that I might just not mess with it. (and there was a little coolant on the plastic sleave of the cord - and on the plug itself... Does the plug heat the coolant? If I did a flush, is it possible to remove that plug and replace it? It looks like I'd have to remove the motor...so if that's the case I think I'll just leave it be.)

Also - while i was under my truck, I noticed that (in the attached picture) something was wiggly. It looks like its the hose/cord for my clutch - is this supposed to wiggle? Also, there is something right above it, but nothing attached. Is something supposed to be attached to this?

take an ohm meter and check the 2 prongs for continuity between each other and from each 1 of them to the block. only continuity you should see is between each othe and none to the block. If it checks out you can buy just the cord. And you can fairly easily change it without pulling the motor. I put one in the passenger side also without pulling the motor just the starter.

Nothing is supposed to be attached. That is the bleeder for the hydraulic throwout bearing. The line on my truck wiggles a little too so I wouldn't worry about it.

You would not want direct continuity between the prongs on the wire, there should be resistance there. Direct continuity would be a short and causing the breaker to blow.

Got the injectors changed finally!! 7:30pm friday night till 5:30am Saturday morning, with a wood stove and kerosene heater (so I could stay in blue jeans and t-shirt most of the night). Old injectors and some of the new injectors had some resistance coming out/going in....but I do believe its all good. And I relocated the PMD to behind the front license plate holder. Now - when its 30* or warmer or if the engine is warm, then factory glow plug timing and it starts right up...no more 3-4 turn overs before starting. And when it was 20 degrees, I did the glow plug over ride for 10 seconds and it fired right up. Thanks for all your help!! (Oh and I put anti-seize on the threads going into the block for the next time).

I still have not checked the continuity of the plug...but I will eventually. Now that my truck starts just fine without it...I won't be as concerned about it.

And I think I might have said something about losing some coolant...I think it was just the cross over tube. I think I might try and take some 1/2 - 3/4" conduit and use it as a cross over pipe so there is more metal than heater hose. Not sure on that yet...cause I don't know if it'll fit or if its a good idea....I just don't like how flimsy the heater hose feals when the truck gets to operating temps.
