WHAT IS AN ATT!?!?!?!?

I wont deny that a DMax on a power tune will put your head back into the headrest like no other, but you pay a premium for that truck and then the programming, which will now void your warranty. For much less you can make a 6.5 outpull a stock DMax. That is assuming you have the suspension for it. With that new Dmax truck you also get some better braking and suspension, but a C/K3500 will keep up.

A tune will not void your warranty. An exhaust will not void your warranty. An intake will not void your warranty. The manufacture has to prove that in case of catastrophic engine or transmission failure, that the exhaust, intake or more specifically, the tune, caused the damage. So, plugging in a tune and loading up a 100 h.p. tow tune, does not in itself, void anything.

You might be surprised to know that I can make my 6.5 output almost as much fuel as a DMax and it can pull at half the boost with the higher compression.

There is no doubt a well programmed DMax can ouput crazy power, will not deny its more than a 6.5TD can.

Next time you have a get together in the West we can line em up. Of course if it was just a race I'd want a lowered gear 6.5.

F150s are a joke in comparison to either.

I've got a 3.42 geared DMAX in a OBS BURB, wanta race? A DS4 pump can put out roughly 94MM3 of fuel IIRC max to a IDI engine, and a stock DMAX is at 100MM3 of fuel in a direct injected engine. I've ridden in TD's truck and it is impressive no doubt, but I still think a stock DMAX(02+, 01's are VERY laggy with stock tuning) if geared with 3.42's would keep up. The DMAX's 3.73 gears I personally feels holds the DMAX back in stock form as they just don't load it hard enough to allow the ECM to fully fuel. EFILIVE remedies that in short order though.

You guys just like an underdog. A Dmax with 3.42s sounds pretty cool, does it get better fuel mileage than a 6.5? What turbo is on the DMax?

Some first generation (01-04) got 24-25 mpg right out of the box. They also used IHI turbos. 04.5-current use Garretts with 32 PSI is red line if I'm not mistaken. The best I got with my 04.5 LLY was 18.7 MPG. The best I got out of my LBZ is 23.1.

A water cooled Garrett AVNT37 (04.5+).
The emissions sticker on my air cleaner says 110mm3 @ a supposed 310hp. I can say for a fact that number is conservative.
