Installed a new A Team Turbo today :nanawrench:
and new Bosch HO injectors and Bosch duraterm glowplugs:D
Runs great! I`m not sure its faster than before but it pulls better
on higher rpms and runs better with less trottle.
Waiting for FTB version 2.0 and KOJO tuning, wich I
ordered 24/6.........:aargh4: :D:D:D

mine sits waiting for me to get time to rewire the headlights. my summer projects are the turbo along with rebuilt injectors. maybe if I get time it'll be some body work.:rolleyes5:

I took the 7 gallon water tank and the 8 gallon propane tank out and replaced them with a 32 gallon water tank and 23 gallon propane tank.

The small tanks will be shipped to Turbine Doc. A few days ago I took my GM-8 off and installed the ATT I got from Slim Shady.

Took it back off and reinstalled the GM-8 because I couldn't find the right drain tube bolts. The ATT will go back on Wednesday.

Driving to Ellensburg and I'm getting a new program Thursday. Then I'll see with this money pit will do for milage! Getting the A/C checked out and a new windshield Tuesday.

Got to make sure it is proper tune for August and about a 10 day road trip. Sunshine Paul, from Oslo, Norway is coming over on the 10th of August for Bonneville Speed Week.

I'll take him for a drive down the Oregon and California coast. Then over to Reno and then to Wells, Nevada. Then Bonneville for 2 days.

Monday go to Paveltoz place, in Spanish Fork, Utah and Tuesday the 3 of us will head out towards Cedar City and then over the 9,990 foot pass and on down to Pink Coral Canyon.

From there to the Grand Canyon and then to Meteror Crater. Then to the Aztec Ruins, Red River, and Taos, in New Mexico. Then thru Colorado and into Nebraska and Chimney Rock.

Then into South Dakota and the Crazy Horse Memorial and Mt. Rushmore.

From there to Devils Tower, in Wyoming and then to Custer's Battlefield, in Montana.

From there to Yellowstone and then thru Idaho and Washington, stopping in Ellensburg one more time and then to the Airport at Seatac.

Both are very close to your house by now!

Today:

Fixed the cargo light. Had to melt the plastic in the bulb housing away to find the corroded strip and solder in a jumper.

Bumped out a couple dents in the extended cab while I had the interior out and "rust killed" some beginning rust inside the panel and cab corners.

Also spray foamed the double skin roof on the passenger side. The annoying metal "ring" noise when you slam the door or tap the roof panel is gone...:)

Got the "A" team turbo installed today, little over 3 hours. Took a little longer because I had to change the drain line to a larger size. Got everything installed and started and let it warm up to operating temperature. Checked for leaks, didn't find any and shut the hood. Took off and my my my, it wasn't the larger injectors that I was missing for the extra umph, it was this beast of a turbo. With the new tune I got Thursday it runs even stronger and harder than before. Now with the fuel tank full, the 32 gallon water tank full, and the 23 gallong propane tank full, and 2 people the pickup weighs right at 8,500. But it doesn't make any difference, I've finally got some real power back. Not that it was lacking that much to begin with but now, YES. Seems to have a lot more black smoke, just a big puff, between shifts then it clears up. 18.3 pounds of boost is where I let off and it was still climbing. Going back to Ellensburg next week for possibly another tune for this "A" turbo! Might have too much propane, not sure, but it seems to rattle a little. But with the water mist on it seemed to calm the rattle down.

That my friend is very good news. Well done Ted.

Post Road Trip Recovery

Recharging my own batteries, and as it turns out, the batteries in the truck after returning from the eight day roadtrip with Ted (635) & Paul R (Sunshine). The underhood trouble light (reeled) was left on after showing off the truck the night before we left. Rats but it was my own fault. I think they are both "all dead.":mad2:
Picked up Ted's ATT, the Marine application upper intake from Peninsular, 90 degree cast elbow off a Cummins from Avant Salvage (Diesel Depot) and the rest of the upper intake plumbing to connect from turbo to the cast elbow from Turbo Tech of Tacoma WA.
A Team Turbo w plumbing.jpg

I don't want to cut up the stock upper intake that I've powder coated all pretty just in case it doesn't work for me. Ted also threw in the hydrolic braided steal oil drain line and fittings to attach to the block and turbo.
Should be a fun project!
