hey guys,
I had the idea of using a OEM lift pump to pump fuel from my bed mounted l-shaped tank into my main tank on my recent buy, the 93 K2500.
It is allready gravity, but figured I would put a filter in, and then suck through the filter to speed up the transfer. I have allready bought a plain old filter from napa, it is cheap, has a mounting base, and a water drain, so now deciding on what fittings I need for plumbing in the OEM type pump.
my theory for this is that in an emergency, I can shut the tank off and rob the LP to replace the frame mounted LP, if it goes south on a trip, and either plub it for gravity, or just use the truck tank.
if the fittings are special, would I have good luck cutting the line out of my junker 91 K2500, and just hose clamping rubber line to the metal line?
thanks guys!
