Weird crank but no start issue

No. If it ain't broke don't fix it.
You can confirm it's still going soft with your electric booster lift pump? This may be the add on pump not keeping up and perhaps it's causing you problems rather than helping or you have a restriction in the fuel system.
It may only need a repair if you still have hard starting after sitting say overnight.
