My D-Tech from Edam worked fine, not that I'm discounting what's been said, just saying that he doesn't sell 100% crap. I got a 100% NEW D-tech, which is what I wanted.

Got my new Dtech PMD from EDAM, works great, fast shipping, price is unbeatable...
That is the conundrum CHB, as many good stories as bad with EDAM makes it hard to qualify that vendor as one I'd recommend.
Since I have had no personal dealings with them I'll reserve my comments of the validity of that assertion, but I do know at one time EDAM was selling "tested good" used units, that I do know is risky.True, but I don't think its fair to paint Edam as = to Steaksauce.
FWIW I had a #6 then switched to a #9, my GMTDScantech showed a .35mm3 increase in fuel delivery. I would just keep what you have, it's paid for.

The scanner won't show you an increase in fuel rate for a resistor change. Its just used in what signal it actually sends to the IP to tell it to squirt. It still thinks its the same rate, just having to tell the IP to squirt for a few nanoseconds more or whatnot to achieve that rate.
The computer uses that value and yes a larger number results in a longer pulse width which would correlate to more fuel. On a stock setup from a 5 to a 9 it might make a difference. On one that youve already increased fuel delivery 30%, 2mm3 isnt much of a difference, but why recommend a 7 if a larger number doesnt matter?
With performing the full FTB mod it might be interesting to see what a #11 might produce. Maybe I'll give that a try to see if I can get the computer to report a new calibration parameter it accepts without coding an error or pulse width out of tolerance like the #13 resistance value would give.
A study done a few years ago may not be valid when other new modifications are taken into account.
just got a PM from edam, apparently a member and is lurking here. Says he wants to make good.
