Vacuum pump removal

I have single alternator and it is on the drivers side. The only thing that's been replaced so far is the alternator. I will keep an eye on this belt. I believe if I would have had a second person I could have gotten the 100 & 5/8 to go on but I figured if it was that tight that may not be good either. If this one stretches I'll go for the 100 & 5/8 and get my son to help me.

Fonecop, you can also get it on there by loosening the alternator, get belt over the lip of the alternator and into the grooves with the tensioner all the way compressed, then put alternator bolt in before letting tensioner go.

I used a 101" belt, but could have gotten the 100" on that way I think, becuase thats what I had to do to get the 101" on later when I was testing a larger alternator.

Thanks buddy. I'm gonna try a 99 as my 99.5 is on the loose side of adjuster that way. I'll keep the 99.5 as a spare, which we all should have anyhow.
