Been a little busy lately so leaving my usual contributions around here has been a bit of a challenge. Luckily, things have leveled out, so here comes a bombardment of information at once. Might wanna grab a hard hat.
First off being updates. About a week ago I tore the truck down for a good cleaning and replacement of the OPS as well as finally relocating my PMD off that damned IP. I didn't go with the usual kits (I.E.-Heath, walts FSD Heat Sync). Rather like everything else on my truck rigged my own setup. Pictures will be at the bottom for you to drool over and it cvost me less than 100 bucks so needless to say I'm quite pleased. A week later, after enduring offroading, ridiculous tempurature changes, and a torrential downpour, it has come out completly unharmed and proven completly succesful. Turns out my old PMD had a #4 resistor in it already and with the new #9 I've noticed a slight(but noticable) increase in power and a little extra mileage to boot. Special thanks goes to Leroy(PMDcable.com) for providing a very high quality setup with his heat sink and extension harness.
Next off are a few questions I've been pondering over.
1) What is the weight of the front end being put on the coil springs. I've been looking and doing research into rigging my truck with front Air Bags in place of the shocks.
2) If I removed the old glow plug controller completly and drove my truck, would this throw a code? My check engine light has been on since I pulled it. Keep in mind for those from the "place" that my trucks glow plugs are independant from the rest of the system. (A switch and solenoid turn them on and off at will)
3) Will a 3ish" lift to the front end and leveled out rear end allow me to fit 285/75R16's?
