Truck cab crawls a bit

Looks good Tanner! Our shop is 60x45, and full of parked stuff all winter long, lol. The 2 post lift is SUPER nice. Honestly, for suspension, brake, etc work, a 2 post is the way to go. The only reason I'd get a 4 is if I did a lot of oil changes and little else.

Thanks for the info, you have a point with the 2 post. We have our hay barns full of equip, that side of my family doesnt bale hay anymore. I bought all of the hay equip and my cousin just has me bale enough to keep the cows fed, otherwise he goes for county record grain yields (he has to to pay for that barn lol)

Pulled the truck out of the shop yesterday afternoon and hauled 2 loads of hay and fed 3 bales. Drove around today tractor shopping and making other appointments for my truck (frame shop, Body Shop, and Accessory Shop) goes in for allignment 2mro. I did a dang good job alligning the front end with baling twine and a tape measure, steering wheel barely off, doesnt pull either way, and tires run level after 200 miles.

Guy offered $$$ for my bale bumper at the accessory shop so IF I can swing it I will sell it and go bale bed AFTER the frame shop.

Shocks are too short front and rear, called nor cal nick. Getting 0-3" kit for front and 3-5.5" for the rears. Current set will go on the 8.1L Dually (currently has no rears and a bad front). Next purchase for the Dmax is Cognito UCA's after the original ball joints go out, will get Engergy suspension bushings on the uppers and lowers.

Should'a done the UCA's while you had it all apart! ;) Oh well, with the beating it's taking, an alignment every few months probably isn't a bad thing anyways...

I bet the front end wouldnt hold up much better, but I bet you wouldnt have near the worry about the frame and rear suspension with this puppy!

I actually stopped in and checked it out a little. fired it up, and it was cold and she popped right off.

plus, i bet a 11ft bale bed would be pretty awesome! can a guy squeeze 2 (one on deck, one on arms) bales on a shortbed balebed?

Well I didn't have the ball joints loose and the removal tool wasn't available.

On the crab crawl subject, has anyone else noticed their trucks do it? All 3 of our gmt 800's do and they all do it to the same side.

Seems I see many GM trucks sag in the left rear and a bit of bed canter but never noticed a misalignment crab crawl. I'll try and notice it from now on and see what I see.

I am guessing the lean is because of left side fuel tank and spring fatigue ???? And always wondered about the staggered shock on the rear axle.

I can understand the chevy lean but one truck is a SRW3500 with factory helpers, not much sag in that. The other is a K2500 with fireston bags, shouldnt sag much. Then my 06 K2500 with 3500# rated deavers, I'm not worried about fuel tank weight there either.

Mine is most noticable but my gpa was complaining today about K2500 seeming to drive side ways and make it harder to see around his cake feeder, followed him today and yup it walks to the same side. Fired up the neighbors truck, good friends, and sure enough it walks down the road too.

The frames are pretty much the same actually, mine just doesnt have provisions for helpers being a short bed. Thickness and rail size is the same and a CCLB k2500 and CCLB K3500 have the same part # for frames.

Yes, Our neighbor has put 2 on his dodge CCSB w/ arm bed, we got 3 on my cousins CCLB Dually LLY just using drop spikes, pick the bale up, drive ~20 mph and slam on the brakes. Remove the bale the opposite way. We've done it many times lol.
