Truck cab crawls a bit

and we are positive the girlfriend wasnt letting the LBZ frolic on the roads and it was drifting sideways slightly? :)

I would definitely wonder about the centering pin. also, does the front spring mount itself (not the frame) look bent?

and git rid of them ugly rims! :D do the OEM 17 inch alloys from 07.5-10 look good to you? I can keep an eye out for some.

how much snow are you folks getting down there? whatever it is, you and I can all use some more. how about we steal some snow from the Northeast? I am sure they wont mind. :)

I like my wheels but for driving in the slop i would like some h2's with black powder or a nice set of black 17's. My main issue is the tire price on 20's.

Right now I have about a ft on the ground and had 2" of rain right before. Last week my gauge showed 1 1/2"

On another note I twisted a tierod or center link this morning so I got the truck to the shop.

This is my most recent thread that involves the dmax and somewhat the front end/alignment.

I hit a covered snow plow pile Monday and bent up a lot of steering parts and killed a cv possibly, at the least.

The wheel bearing doesn't have much if any slack on either side but the one I pulled for cv feels slightly rough when turning. I figure it's as good of time as any to replace the original wheel bearings. Is there a preferred brand of hub assembly to buy?

honestly if I were to buy new front wheel bearings again, it would be from the duramax store and get the lifetime warranty...they are timkens...

Bought the Timkens from Dmaxstore. Trucks getting closer to being around for a LONG time after the new front end and possible trip to a frame shop if I cant find an issue in the rear end.

Also have allseason braces and sleeves in my pile of NEW

Ok, I guess I am going to install new shocks. Front pass is shot. Hey only have 205k on them, Idk what the problem is?! Lol

Who has the best price on bilstein 5100s? I sent an email to dmax store, using phone, and never got a reply.

Side note, have both wheel bearings out, ds cv has new boots. Pass side wheel bearing was newer but might as well change it at this point, it's stuck on the rotor at the moment but I will keep as a spare. Idler and tierods are but still fighting the damn pitman.

My head from hitting the roof and pissed off my dog... Not really much damage to the appearance, cracked the plastic skid plate (goes from bumper to front diff allum skid) pretty bad and knocked my lower valance loose. Exhaust is also out of its hanger in a few place which may or may not be accident related.

The rod in my front pass side shock is bent so it took a pretty good hit I guess.

Truck still needs to see a frame shop. At this point straightening a frame might be regular mainenance with the abuse I put the truck through.

Too late, I ordered from dmax store. Guess we will see how they last with cranked bars and big leafs on the rear.

I have recieved the wheel bearings and have just been tinkering on the truck waiting on 2 new bolts for the back flange and shocks. Assembled DS and noticed the brake pads were worn favoring the inner pad so I pulled the calliper apart and cleaned it up and relubed everything, the pads are wearing thin so this might be their last summer, MIGHT get 250K on them. Pass side must have been replaced when the bearing was replaced because they have 50% more material probably. I will replace all of the front pads after this summer, maybe the rears too. RAYBESTOS Premium's from where ever has a good price.

shops are supposed to have working room? :D we got a Gleaner combine and a bunch of good auction junk clogging ours up. I keep telling dad its time for a gravel floored cheap storage shed, then we can free up the current one for just mechanic-ing.

looks like its coming along!

That shop stays cleared out, there are been a string of people that come by and watch me work. They all comment about how I sure using up alot of shop time, we usually dont have rigs down for more than a couple days. In the time my truck has been on the stands I have done oil cooler lines on a 96 K2500 w/ 350 and a wheel bearing and allignment by string on a 03 D**** Cummins, he needs ball joints in a bad way too.

Um, ya just a tad jealous with the floor space there.

The shop is 25 miles from home, it is nice to have space I can use. You can come borrow it if you want! lol

You can see a small garage door behind the Chem totes and a 4post lift will go there in 2-3yrs once the building is paid off. I'll never leave after that!

Looks good Tanner! Our shop is 60x45, and full of parked stuff all winter long, lol. The 2 post lift is SUPER nice. Honestly, for suspension, brake, etc work, a 2 post is the way to go. The only reason I'd get a 4 is if I did a lot of oil changes and little else.
