timing?

good for you Dave to have a 2nd diesel to build/play with. Its got to be nice to be able to have another rig to use while you have one apart. Both being of 6.2/6.5 nature is just great.

Hey, in perspective, Don't make the blazer too nice lookin, as it is now it makes the W/T Grille on your truck look nice :)

Thanks Matt.

the W/T grille on the pickup has got to go regardless. i've just been putting it off.

the blazer's grille is kicked in on the driver's side. it looks as it it's been hit in the front pretty hard once before as the grille is trashed on the driver's side and the passenger door, front fender and inner fender have been replaced. the inner fender is out of something else as it's been cut w/ a torch at one end, and the rad overflow bottle has no where to bolt down to, yet.

behind the grille some of the vertical metal bars are twisted pretty good as well. all i know is i can climb up on the front end and sit on it, so looks don't matter behind the grille if it can hold my fat ass. ):h

I was thinking about this. Other than the very last IP I did on my 83, When I suspected an IP to be bad I would bench test it before buying a reman . Of course if you are getting your old one done that is standard anyway. Just food for thought before spending 300$. I do think your symptoms warrant pulling it but I would still have it bench tested before buying another one.
