If there is a good way to go then going fast would be the best option. It still hurts to loose a family member, Sorry to hear about her passing.

Glad to hear the truck is back in service. What are your opinions of break in time on a new engine? Do you think there is an appropriate # of miles it SHOULD have before pulling hard or do you think it hurts anything putting it back to work right away?

thanks tanner and the fact that i was the one that found her doesnt bother me its the fact i can sit and talk with her anymore..

i had less then 3 miles on the truck hooked it to the load that is broke under and left monday for appleton wisconsin... i ran about 60-65 didnt push it hard about then 400 mile mark everything start workign better mpg was comming up turbo was responding better.. less blow by.. swapped to road draft tubes for the PCV got ~1500 miles on hit now... picking up a 2x2x20 laod that is ~10k and head to eastern PA form columbus ohio area

This is sooo true!!!! My condolences to you and your family.

I grew up with my grandmother living in an apartment on our house. She saw her sister waste away in a nursing home, and never wanted to go that way. Well, she got her wish, and was able to spend her last days with us, not in a nursing home. Now I and my brothers are dealing with our 88 year old mother. In the last three months she has gone way down hill, and though she would prefer being at her home of 56 years with my family, she is now in a skilled care facility, short term, and will probably end up in a foster care home. Stupid nieces!!!

My Great Grand mother passed away at 102yrs old eat peanuts on her couch, Still had 2 in her hand when my grandpa and I stopped by to drop off her groceries. Must have been pretty easy passing.

I have lost more cousins and aunts and uncles than anything, all of my grandparents are still alive (all 4 are 72) and just celebrated my other great grandmothers 101 Bday last spring. She choose to enter assisted living at 85.

Adam, it's been a minute since we've/I've heard from you. Hope all is well and you're still delivering the goods.

BTW you has a PM..;) Yes you does.

Sounds good. We'll give the guy 'til the weekend, after that I'm sendin out the dogs.

The PM was for a LLY right bank piston he MAY still have.. IIRC he cracked one and had to bore his. I need one stock bore piston (right bank) to patch together an 05 EC flatbed dually 2wd.. This dmax was lucky, the bore survived.

quickie update on how the truck is doing? mpg, miles, notable loads, and how the kaufman is holding up against a 10K rated spring pack on the dana 80?

in the stock form i started to rip the welds of the coupler at the bottom... mainly due to haveing a 31" pin height and the couple was fully extended.. kaufman went and lowered the coupler and gusested it... i havent had ANY issues since.. i also had issue with the mounting of the running gear subframe tot he main I beam they didnt weld it 100% and left a gap so the subframe was riding on the weld points and ended up ripping the wings of the I beam kaufman put .375x5" flat bar the entire length of the deck then welded the subframe back on..

how about another update..
for what ever reason is started pushing coolant.. took it down first week of may.. put grade A gaskets( due to a miss calculation i my pistons are flush with the deck vs .016" out, going from Cs to As tightend quench up by ~.015") on LML head gaskets and head bolts, replaced the rocker shaft bolts with arp bolts bent a injector hold down replaced it with new one and replace allt he injector hold down bolts with 8.8 bolts.
the june 4th finally hurt the tranny.. not that i was trying.. sprag unit gave up the gost toasted direct and forward cltuch 2nd man band direct drum and forwad clutch hub replace said clutchs with kolene steels and kevalar clutchs wider 2nd man band new drum and a upgraded from a 16 sprag to a 34 sprag replace seals and put everything back together..
just rooled 200k last week on the chassis

Wow, didn't realize the lack of 'rollers' in the sprag. Is the new sprag updated GM?

I see you've been busy! Good to hear from ya.

Drop a PM when/if coming through and I'll get the message to Moss. I'd need as much heads up time as possible. Could catch up at the TA in Morris for a coffee at the least.
