Road Trip !!

I'll photo the thing top, bottom, inside and from several side angles if I'm in town when it comes through.

 Heck, call anyway and my wife will. She's never without the camera and she's over by Orem (BYU) everyday. She puts her digital camera on "continuous" in order to not miss a shot. Once took 1200 photos during a lightning storm and got three keepers.

:hihi:

Still haven't got my passport yet and I have some continueing education classes I have to take on the 19th so I guess I won't be leaving until the 20th or so.

Sorry, but I don't think I'll be up for a meet. Calving and the Easter weekend with family will be keeping me busy.

AK broken down

Ak got stranded along the road at 10 am this morning 70 mls from my place.
I went there to help him out,i took fuel, boostercables and some tools along
We couldn't get it going.I'm afraid the IP packed it in(metering valve code).
We called a tow truck and had the truck transported to a repair shop in the nearest town " Falher".
I hooked on to his car hauler and pulled that there too.
I left at 5.30,by then the mechanics had still not figured out why it wouldn't run and i had to go home to feed.
Being it good fryday and the weekend coming up parts will be hard to find till monday.
If they can't get it to run today I'll pick them up tomorow so they can spend a day here

Thanks for hooking him up. Must not have an internet connection where he is as, I don't see any posts from him in the Dodge sections.

So were down to the IP. We looked up the code in our factory service manual (which I finally dug out of the back) and it said internal IP fault. A big thanks to Simon for all his help we'd probably be sitting along the road still. Roger the mechanic said he'd know by noon tomorrow if he'd be able to find anything this weekend otherwise we'll be here till the first part of next week.

Hey AK -

D.O.D.G.E = Don't Over Do it, Go Empty

Glad he's got a friend like you to help him out, Simon. If all else fails, he can put the Dodge on the trailer and pull it with the Chev...

Falher, huh? That's really out there... south of your place?

Thanks for the update!
Jim

Nice pic... I see the can is safe and sound...:hihi:
Hope you get it figured out tomorrow. See?... you were destined to meet up with Simon.

I think I'm about 40 miles south of Simon.

Well it is my brothers truck. The lift pump went out on him awhile ago, which usually kills the IP right away. We thought he'd dodged a bullet but it may have been a delayed reaction. On a side note I was suprised to note the cummins will heat right up when towing up some steep longer grades. I was under the impression they did better at that. It's 100% stock and I sure miss my guages to see what's going on. Thermostat actually started sticking open after going over Steamboat.
