Remote Control Door Lock Receiver

Possibly, idk what power wattage a factory amp is, but most aftermarket amps use a fairly hefty fuse. I would double check all the fuses, engine bay and in the cab. I have see where simple fuses like one for the cig lighter blown caused other things not to work that weren't on the diagram. maybe the circuit that powers the relay for the amp is tied into something else in the cab. GM did some odd stuff over the years!

Alright, pulled fuses starting with the box in the engine bay. Second one, a 30 amp, was blown. Checked stereo, no rear speakers. Checked all other fuses in the engine bay and they were fine.

Started pulling fuses in the box on the side of the dash and fuse #13, a 20 amp, was blown. Check the stereo and I have the rear speakers working. Hooray! I will note that the speaker in the second door on the driver’s side is crackly so it’s blown. There are several, if not all of the speakers that need to be replaced, but I can deal with that over time.

Glad you found it! curiosity has me wondering what that blown fuse was labeled as.

take the old one out and verify if it's a normal speaker or some oddball that GM uses. you can use an ohm meter to check if it's a 2, 4, 8 ohm. if it's a sub, 4 and 8 ohm are available new, its the 2ohm that are a product of GM. they all should be 6.5 inch speaker so the size is normal and easily swapped for something aftermarket.

I installed 3 way kickers in all 4 doors of my truck, but rockford fosgate is the best money can buy. swap them subs out for something that can make the sheet metal vibrate LOL

The AC Delco one I took out was 4 ohm.

In addition to the used AC Delco replacements, I just ordered some JBL GTO 629 speakers, which were very highly rated. I’ve always been a JBL fan.
