Power Steering Pump Hose Routing

Yeah that looks like it has it on the end of the pipe. just check the orifice size with a drill bit and compare to the one on the end of the evo one. if it's smaller it would be made for without a booster. all you would need to do is drill out the center, I can't recall the size but 11/64th seems to ring a bell.

Slow down. This is a new unit from Napa with a lifetime warranty. I expect it to work out of the box. I am willing to do the bypass which would confirm or eliminate the sender (my part) being the problem. The rest is on them and their lifetime warranty. If it’s the pump, I will request a refund and buy the AC Delco unit. I have 2 weeks to get this done.

Drove over to talk to Wayne at Eagle Watch Automotive about my power steering pump issues. Showed him pics of the new slotted plunger vs the old plunger and he said no that is not a sealing surface. Showed him videos of the rotating sender and he said that is normal.

He asked if I had bled it with the engine off and no I had not after install of the new one. He said that he has had some that behaved like this and they were air locked with a huge air bubble which eventually worked its way out. So it looks like I will try again with my sender, before trying with my bypass.

I only mentioned that so in case they had to order one in for you.
I will pull in the am and take it in (12 miles one way). They will have to order and it will be delivered to the house free like last one.

Did I tell you how great that takeout transmission is working in the 2014 4Runner?😂
