Performance Tuning for the Tahoe

10 second? REALLY?? Even our 6.2 stay together longer than that :)

I imagine the engine and trimmings will weigh in at similar weight as the truck body??

engine itself will probably weigh in around 1200lbs.

We are keeping total weight under 4000. Its an 85 shortbed F150. tubed rear. linked 9". ATS 4R100 w/ standalone. fiberglass front clip. gutted......... all the goodies.

this is jeff here, as one part of "turbonator", i would just like to say that i am deeply dissappointed with all of this... the same thing is going on right now at the other site between myself and the cummins twins and their inability to provide any sort of proof to their claims... do you want to know the big secret? take out the leaf spring, turn up the charge pressure, lock the governor, bolt the camring and grind it with a dremel, use like 50 psi lift pump.... or go the route of racin and NMB and invest the money and do it right the first time... or go like chevy diesel and build something good, document it and dyno it (304 RWHP)...
i for one am really glad that these 2 guys are here to offer up tech freely, and it is totally out of line for you clowns ( littleboy, cummins fever, orion thade, crash2win) to try and drive them out because they showed you up with proof and paper to back up their claims, if i was a mod i would ban all the guys that i listed permanantly as up until this post have not given anything to this forum that the 6.9l guys have given in like three posts.....
i like to think that myself and my bro give up as much as we can to help advance the 6.2l/6.5l world, although we have been called sanford and son in the past for being cheap and using used stuff, but hey, i dont see any of the affore mentioned guys having dynoed 12 times this year and made 220RWHP ( our set-up is very similar to what 6.2turbo has) so you guys that will not share and use belittling and childish behavior to try to control the situation, grow up or shut up...

I think you took it the wrong way. We were not liers. The pump that was on my 6.5 put out 110 cc's at 4000 rpms, and alot more at lower rpms. More charge holes is not news to me,I've done it years ago. I only had a total of 4 though.

i did not name you in this at all, we follow what you do with interest, and you are wise not to stir the pot, and i did not call you or anyone else a liar, it is just plain stupid to turn these guys away when they have went to great pains to mod these pumps, i think we can all learn from them.....

Kinda curious what your setup is currently. Since it is simular to mine ?

actually i should have said was, as we took out the modded .310" because after 2000 miles it would not start hot, and i guess our turbo was a bit smaller, but we have the o-rings, headstuds and girdle on still.... still boosting to 20 psi with a .290" pump, and just replaced our WMI pump with a brand new one, so we could have back our pump we found in the trash to pump lake water to mix cement...LOL.... this fall we are going to build our cement filled motor ( going to machine it soon) and try out a m-122 supercharger we bought from a gt-500.... i think maybe we have a couple of custom connecting rods too.....

:rolleyes5::rolleyes5::rolleyes5::rolleyes5:

I'm not interested in rehashing this. All I'll say is my issue with nbm2 and his crony had nothing to do with that they have done with their engines and everything to do with how they came to this forum and the arrogance that they displayed.

But I don't expect you to take the time to actually read any of the threads.

I would highly suggest that everyone check a few things at the door when you log in...
1.condescending tone
2.know it all attitude
3.I'm smarter than you attitude
and
4. have to have the last word

but as site rules state...we will do what we feel is best for the betterment of the site...

no need to comment on this post...

lets get this back on topic and keep it that way...

Thank you turbonators for furthering the db2 pump cause by your lengthy post. And thank you for reading Pepper's rules so closely...
It would be appreciated if you have problems on another site, to keep your problems THERE, and not drag them around to other forums.

You ******** are CHEAP !! Over on the other site you go calling out 6.2turbo but over here you act nice to him. What low lifes..... This is why y'all are struggling. You want other folks to give you info with having to work for it but when you don't get what you want you pitch a fit.
