New Style Towing Mirrors From Option Racing---Buyer Beware

Barry, I love the blue/silver of that truck. My friends had a 93 GMC K3500 SRW with a 454 4L80E in that combo.... Brings back good memories.

Glad to see them at least bolted on. Did you really have to push them on hard to get the nut with support bracket? Mine was SUPER tight.

I got the bottom two pretty tight then lifted up on the mirror. Got just enough to get the nut started. The base does match up perfectly with everything.

I bought a set of these, plugged right into my 96. Only complaint is that they vibrate on the highway, but I haven't seen aftermarket mirrors that didn't.

I don't feel that mine vibrate/shake any more than the OEM ones of this style do. It's a large chunk of glass and plastic a long way out from the door.

Which version of the mirror did you get? Power only? Heat? Lights?

I just got mine on and not much difference in vibration than the stainless ones I took off.

not hijacking...but someone mentioned aftermarkets mirrors all vibrate...My TTT's (shefenecker) don't vibrate extended or pulled in...but I don't think(??) they are made for the specifically GM 400 platform. but I'm betting they could be adapted somehow...

Like I said, I'm still fully happy with my set, I don't think they vibrate any worse than any other mirror of this size and style of construction. The OEM mirrors that were on this truck and the OEM mirrors on my 02 both vibrate, and i would say these are in the acceptable limits. I do however notice more vibration in strong winds, but really it's all relative.
