New Nozzle question

@Will L.
I replaced the thermostats on My 6.5 over a year ago.
I had got the stats from Oriellys. very surprised to see that they were made in Israel. Very high quality looking stats and no failures thus far.
I was happy to being in support of Israel too. Next time I search for parts I will be checking to see if I can find components manufactured in Israel.

I'll see if I can find a picture of mine. The biggest thing I noticed was carbon build up. In all fairness the quality of the fuel could be a factor in all of this too.

@JayTheCPA you said the new Bosch India injectors were all at 2175. As in-Were they all EXACTLY at 2175?!?

Did I stt-utt-er-r? ;)

Here is what I know:
- IIRC, Leroy is getting them direct from AMG. Am sure that he will correct me if this is off-base.

- I took them straight to the local injection shop and asked them to check the pop as I wanted 2,150. The first one popped at 2,175 (actually, the machine was set for bar and he reverse-calculated to psi) and they recommended I leave it alone as long as they all were that way. The other 7 popped at 2,175 and they would not take a dime for the service. In full disclosure, I did not actually see the meter, but the tech was within sight distance and have no reason to insult the guy ;)

haha good response!

That is frickin awesome! All exact!
And for shop to turn down $ when he knew he could at least make some to adjust 1 or 2 if they were out and 6 the same- kinda says its dead on to me. They don’t put food on the table by turning work away.

@WillL. We tested them together after I did them on my own to validate the results. His set up is a short stroke pump with a 6K gauge. I would pump the system up until I got some pressure feedback and then give it another quick pull or two and noted the needle position. I would then rehit that injector several times to ensure consistency of pulls and readings. Spray pattern ID was done with flashlight backlighting the injector so the mist could be seen more clearly. The 4K plus no pop injector finally decided I wasn't playing when it finally let go. After several hits it 'settled' at 3600 and went from straight stream single stream to something resembling the spray pattern. Occasionally, we'd remove the gauge to keep it from getting abused (simple leaver function stops pressure from going to the gauge) so we could hit that injector several times to see if the spray pattern would improve.
I bought the 'bad' set in 2013 after installing the motor with the HO Bosch injectors. I ran them between 5 and 10k miles before putting the HO's back in later in 2013 (was going to run the flats that year but got rained out). They've not been used since.
