New Battery experiences please share

well the one for 500$ was a Milspec. It can be mounted sideways and still work. I won't spend that. I will get a Deka or US battery replacement 6tl for around 200$. I am not sure i will be able to keep the big batts anyway. I am going to have to move the aux batt to the drivers side when I install the turbo but I'll save all that for a 6.2 thread.

I saw a thread on SS where all the guy did was clearance the battery tray for the compressor side of the turbo and he was able to keep the batteries in their original location.

Stay away from Napa batteries. I've got them in everything and I constantly have them going bad. Just changed one tonight less than a year old.
The other bad thing about Napa is they only gaurantee them at the store they were purchased at.
Next time I'll try Autozone or Walmart. Probably Walmart. There are a lot of 24 hour Wally Worlds around. Could make a difference.

I've been having issues with the Napa select 84s in my pickup. Just over 2 years old and i've had to pull them once already since the ol girl wouldn't start. Napa wants $80 to "pro-rate" them. They fought with me even though they were able to re-print the receipt effortlessly when i told them the month and year i purchased them. I mean c'mon the batteries say "NAPA" at least 4 times on them. Where'd they come from walmart?:rolleyes5:

I"ll never be buying a set of their batteries again. Next time i need batteries I'll either go Interstate or Die-Easy.

Call or go to RAE Battery on Deming Rd. in Berlin, CT
I'll bet they will be the cheapest for a quality battery.

Already ordered. 171$. Can't beat that. it's the same 750cca like what I have. That 500$ battery was the new milspec. it has 2000cca and could shoot a hole through it and still work. A nice thing to have but can't justify 1000$ in batteries for a 2,000$ truck...:D
