A friend of mine voluteered to let me use his garage to put my snow tires on my car and truck so I took my wifes car there and then came home and got my truck. I was starting in his driveway (about 1/2 male long) when his wife came flying out the driveway and ran into me literally. I was completely stopped when she hit me. I estimate she was doing about 35 mph and I don't think she even hit the brakes until she hit me. The driveway is pretty narrow with banks on both sides so there was nowhere for me to go. Really messed up her car though. I spent probably 5 minutes picking up pieces from her car. Plastic and cold weather don't go together very well, it was about 5 above. As I was on my way home I noticed my steering wheel was cocked too. She hit my front wheel pretty hard hopefully it didn't bend it. If it did I do have one more rim though. Was thinking I had just about got most of my issues behind me except for the tranny. Oh well

Man, you got REALLY lucky; coud have been a whole lot worse.

how long is a driveway 1/2 male long?

Ya, I'm sure you were rattled after that.

Remember, Jesus turned water into wine, not the other way around. Whisky is a Great after crash drink.

I had a similar situation happen to me and my steering wheel was also out of place. I took it in for an alignment and they made some adjustment on the steering box and corrected it. It also broke my tie rod end, but that was an easy fix.

Even worse its a friend.... Now what do you do?.... If it was someone you didn't know or like (me) :), it would be a no brainer.... It really stinks dealing mishaps with friends.

I'm probably going to fix it myself anyway. If they use insurance I'll come out ok if I don't count my time. If they use cash I'll probably ask them to pay for parts. ASSUMING they will pay. I think they will though.

Was her vehicle nice enough to claim on insurance? If thats the case shoulnd't be any more deductable to admit they hit your vehicle.

Sorry about your truck. One question though, what side of the road do you drive on up there?

Same side as you. It was on a corner going to my right and I was just trying to get out of her way. Left side had a little less bank than the right. It was just a one lane driveway.
