My Poor Truck

Major bummer. I hope it gets fixed up alright.

5 above? Where are you located in Alaska?

You're lucky it wasn't my mom...Glad we got her out of cars alltogether.
Very good to know everyone is alright. Insurance can replace vehicles. People though...not so much.
Alignment. My truck wouldn't go straight no matter what the shops did. Turns out the PO had been in an impact significant enough to bend the front end to where adjustments weren't going to get it right. The key was spacing between the tires and the front and back sides of the fender wells. Right side was closer to the door than the left side...I never noticed but once identified and pulled out, the truck runs straight down the road. Must have been an easy fix as it was only $125 and I know they did something because of the marks on the undercarriage.
Hope yours is ok though.

Shit happens AK,at least it looks fixable.
My last accident totalled my truck completely,I had it only 14 days, was insured for liabillity only.Bye bye investment,I did'nt care,I was still alive and in 1 piece.

Sorry you're truck got scraped up, but considering what you described, it seemed like it pulled through pretty darned well. Gotta love trucks made of steel

I know the deal, fortunately I was full up on insurance. Dark, Black Ice, descending curve, in a hurry, three cars totaled and it was my stupid fault. 10 day old Saab "schrott" along with a Subaru and a Golf. Everyone walked away without injury, pissed, but they walked away. I still get a sick feeling in my stomach 19 years later. I learned a lot of new German phrases that morning though. "You can't fix stupid"

Is it just me, or are you about to shoot the car and put it out of its misery?

Car picture very funny!

I rearended a buddies boxtruck doing 25 when ABS crapped on with rear brake line blown and only did 3500 or so to my rig...

Full coverage. Always on my only work vehicle.

$2400 bucks was the estimate to fix mine. I took it in to get a front end alignment and found out the upper and lower ball joints were both bad as well as a couple of tie rod ends. What really chaps me is I replaced all 4 about 1 1/2 years ago. Bought the premium spicers. Called the parts store I got them from and he said he'd warranty them since they were the premiums. So now I got to find the time to do that also.

I bent my front bumper on my icy driveway last winter. So I was working next door to a truck salvage yard and stopped and got a used bumper and a bumper filler and a seat. Fixed my drivers seat the other day ( in another thread) so today I yanked off all front clip. Robbed a fender extension off my 94 parts truck and then painted the extension and bumper filler with a rattle can of color matched paint I had left over from last body work I did. Installed the bumper and parts and then put on my new chrome grill I picked a couple of years ago. Definite face lift :)
