OK, well I broke down and purchased a one year subscription of alldata online for the truck. Its only for my 93 but if any of you need anything, let me know!

Well today was a good day.

I GOT THE SPEEDOMETER WORKING!

Thats one of the things I have been most worried about. It turns out the IGN wire that goes into the Vehicle Speed Sensor Buffer (That little white box in the glove box area) Wasnt working. I put it to 12+ and wham, the speedo works! I bet the old speed sensor worked fine but its too late now, I dont feel like swapping it back in. Now I hope that it resolved the shifting issues, Im not thinking it will but I only run basic ins on the truck during the winter since it just sits so I didnt want to take it out on the road.

I also figured out the delayed IGN turnoff. Kinda by accident really, I was in the IGN harness under the steering column and noticed a T tap on each of the wires that werent connected to anything. So I went to remove one and the wire was broken inside the tap! So I removed them all and soldered the wires together and now the engine shuts off as soon as the key is off.

Things are really coming together, I appreciate all your help thus far, there really isnt much left to do. Im going to hold off on the timing and the fuel screw and see how she runs during the season. Its a fairly easy adjustment that I can later on. Im just hoping the trans shifts normal now or I am going to probably need it pulled and inspected which I really dont want to have to do $$$$.

Thanks again everyone!

Running it some and making it reliable, then doing enhancements is what i did with mine. I bought it in "kinda-running" state, took me several months to get it reliable and me get used to the 6.5 engine. For what i use mine for, it fill the bill very well, good luck.
