My new truck

I just cut a piece of key down, cut the reluctor off a bottom timing gear and found there was enough engagement in the lower gear and the balancer to hold the keyway for the reluctor. I was going to weld it into a single piece, but once I trial fit it I was satisfied with how well it was retained and didn’t bother. For what it’s worth…

I emailed Leroy in July when I needed one and he has extra stock of both the reluctors and the keys. It was a couple days before he got back to me and in the meantime I had decided to see what I could do myself and was happy with the results. I needed them because my gearset was from WarWagon's partout of Patch, which was a DB2 truck. But yeah, your truck would have been down a while waiting for that key to show up.

Curious while you have yours open, how do you measure wear on the rockers or the shaft. pushrods too. I figure measuring the shaft between where the rockers ride and don't ride, but on the valve end and pushrod ends how is wear measured and when they would be deemed too far gone and still good?

I used to mainly do a visual on such as that.
Look at pushrod ends, are they beginning to appear sort of going to a point shape ? ? ? ?
Rocker shafts on the bottom/pressure side, how much wear and is there any galling going on ? ? ? ?

Definitely on the downhill side of this project. Both valve covers are glued back on , intake is back on, turbo is back on. Still to do is to make some bracket extensions for the wiring bracket that goes to the intake. Then the FFM and tubing, fan clutch and fan, and coolant crossover. Then underneath I have some orings for the oil filter adapter.
