More fueling

Boost hasn't changed much, since when the valve starts to open, the 18cm housing is just too big. Until headstuds this is what I have to work with, but damn does she pull hard. Still smoke free. EGT's have remained nearly the same since I boost a lot faster now. Max I have gotten to so far is 900*. I am sure 1000* can happen. Time will tell. I have only drove it about 10 minutes since I did it.

how did you come to the decision that it is an 18cm2 housing? just curious because we have ran housings from 12cm2 to 19cm2 and did not have much trouble spooling any of them with a 1\16 of a turn from tight on a .290" pump(could be that the genuine holsets spool better by design)... if i had to guess at the sizing of the ATT housings ( seems to be guess measures on the ATT) i would say that the original turbine housing would be an 18cm2 and the new one would be closer to 21cm2....

I asked Slim so I had a little more information on the ATT for the Diesel Power Mag article. Maybe he got the two mixed up. i don't know.

I have a recent 0-70mph video before fueling change and I will take a 0-70mph video now that I have increased fueling for comparison

Housing size is only a small part of the whole.

thanks for that detailed reply....:hihi:.... i often wonder why anybody buys something that offers no info on wheel sizes/housing sizes, blind faith i guess.... when we recieve our loaner ATT i will be sure to dissassemble it, measure the compressor wheel and the turbine wheel, and also take the A/R measurement and convert it to cm2... then you will have the info to offer to your customers....

This is a rare case where blind faith works great. I have a pile of new parts that were completly misrepresented that will never go on my truck. SS injectectors with Made in USA stickers and US flags waving on website. Then there was the GM8 turbo that is a foriegn knockoff that sits on the shelf. Can't remember website on that one. I was leary of ATT purchase, but the improvement of MPG alone makes it worth being on my truck. I am looking forward to your measurements though.

Because the turbo works and given some of the post I have heard of or been made aware of at another site by this individual, it doesn't make me all warm and cozy and wanting to share. Thanks for the positive though, you are at least consistent.:D

Ah, my fair weather friend. Its not blind faith, except maybe to the first couple that were sold maybe. There are way to many positive results now and very happy customers to say its blind faith at all.
Its like saying just because I don't know the orfice size of an injector then my truck wont run better if I installed new ones.

I have a lot of friends who are into diesels too, and when I talk about wanting to put an ATT on my truck, I always get asked what size the compressor wheel is, and I cant tell them. I would like to know the measurements of the turbo, just to know. Not for any other reason really. Not sure why they wouldnt be available, wouldnt hurt anyone?

Most of my diesel friends laugh at my 6.5L's BUT no one will hook up to my extra 10 bale dump trailer and haul hay with me head to head. I have offered to pay 100$/load AND fuel if they can get there faster and use less fuel. Sounds like a good deal to me but I wouldnt want to get my cummins or powerchoke's butt kicked by a 6.5L either. lol

Had a buddy saying his 03 common rail cummapart had 750hp (not likely since it was STOCK other than stacked chips) and got 30mpg unloaded highway (doubtful in a CCLB Dually 4x4, or a single cab 2wd for that matter). As soon as I made the offer for help hauling hay with his BAD ASS dodge he quickly started saying he had an injector misfiring and didnt know when he would be running again. lol

I hit 21mpg cruising at 65 with 3.73 gears and 33's at 1900rpm unloaded with nothing more than a straight pipe. This summer when I take the same trip I cant wait to see what I get.

That's be some stiff competition with the MT. How many miles? How many trips available? The Duramax or the 1993.... choices choices...

And Don't worry, I already measured the ATT!!! :hihi: With a tape measure!!!

And measured where the BS stops on the rollers:

The 93 uses less fuel than the LBZ and wont limp or have a low rail press limp every time I hit a slight grade in 5th. Been delivering 10 1300# bales ~100 miles 1 way in my spare time. The common rail Cmins would probably walk on me but I figure that cloud of smoke it makes will negate the MPG advantage. Not many stiff grades to climb just rolling hills. LBZ gets 10.5mpg on a round trip, the 93 was getting a hair over 11mpg w/ gm3 (att should change the game).
