Meet my truck

That would be convenient. And It is threaded on the actuating rod. I have looked at it before. Seems simple enough but what I am thinking is, if you back off spring tension, then the rod becomes further away as a whole, and that requires more movement to open the valve fully, which would make it take longer to open. example like, if right now it takes 18psi to start opening and is fully open by 20psi, would decreasing the spring tension mean it would start to open at 14 and fully open by 20psi? See what I am saying. Kind of hard to explain. Am I right in thinking this? Or is my theory completely flawed? haha if it is, I'm blaming margaritas haha

Maybe after I mix myself a margarita, I'll understand?

To the original poster:

Truck looks awesome! Love the extra cab with the long bed. Glad to see another member from CT. We are few and far between.

Dosent help that the rust is eating these trucks right off the road up here...

Where abouts in CT are you? John Deere dealer..im thinking Stanton Equipment in Cannan?

Someone tell me why do so many of these threads turn into A turbo vs. B turbo? Plenty of other threads to discuss that.

-Nick

I dont see why turbo discussion is an issue here. I see any talk about turbochargers that is good talk is healthy. These trucks need something other than stock. Weather it is a CKO, genuine Holset, or ATT, it doesnt matter. The more data the better. and just about every single thread ever posted seems to get derailed at one point. It is bound to happen. If we were to start a separate thread for every single thing we said that wasn't perfectly on topic, you wouldn't be able to handle it.

Even my QSV thread was a lot of pages of bashing, instead of talking about just the advancements of just the QSV. It just happens

Would be nice to see a BD qsv or a similar diverter valve in conjunction with a T4 and center mount configuration.... could only get better yet.

Well thats all that matters then...

I dont care about the discussion myself as I still dont know which route i am going for a replacement.

Just find it funny that almost any thread turns into it. "my radio dosent work."........"you need to upgrade your GMx to a holset/att" :hihi:

My wife's toy was no longer cutting it. I told her to add an ATT with a 6 position Buddy tune and now she's a screamer.:Eyecrazy::bow::

Big T, LOL!

Nick, we are here to talk trucks, Im happy talking about trucks, doesnt matter where or when. I know what you mean, a lot of threads turn into similar discussions. Right now, turbos seem to be a hot topic, so thats why people are talking :)

Nah, thats parking brake. I never use my parking brake, last fall I went to set it for whatever reason, and the pedal went to the floor. Cable snapped. Been on ever since lol.

You should be able to zip tie the pedal back up to shut the light off. Or crawl under the dash and jump the switch.
