Here is a mod I like. I still have not started the engine yet, but very soon! Cant get the GPs to come on, but thats another story.
Anyway I had previously located the batteries under the driver frame rail for the Isuzu diesel swap. I have put the 6.5 back in and came up with a version of ram air for the Burb. Its easy enough and just looking at the pictures you could reproduce what I did.
First make a bracket using existing holes in inner fender to bolt K47 box to.
I had the old Isuzu intake boot that works perfectly to fill the odd shape of the air box. It allows me to go back to stock if needed.
3" PVC elbow
Air box is bolted down.
Original hole in core support is untouched, just remove the plastic ducting.
This is another 3" elbow , but its called a street elbow. One end fits into the blue elbow pictured above and the other end fits the hole perfect. I'll trim the parking light to allow more direct air flow to the new inlet.
All done except for the CDR tube. I'll make a hole in the silicone elbow for that.
