Good news is my built 6.2L started. Bad news is it seems to run really rough and will die after giving it throttle. Here is one video of it starting (warm) and dying after a little throttle. Is this a timing issue? I have another video that is uploading.

Here is the first video on youtube (should play in thread).

The links do not work for me. I would check for air in the fuel. I would also check timing. I just put a DB2 pump in my truck and tried lining the timing marks together. First I tried the lines and the truck ran like it wasn't getting air. Then I found the factory circle and lined the pump up with it and the truck purred like a kitten and ran great.

Just got the video to play. Truck sounds good has that marble sound. When it does does it fire right back up or do you have to crank the engine over for a few minutes before the engine starts back up?

Here is another video. Pretty much shows same thing. This one was right before the first one I posted (sorry for the crappy video taking).

I went out and ran it again. This one shows it's dying.

Do you have a clear line on the ip return line to check for air bubbles? Crack the injector line nuts at the injectors one at a time while idling. You either have air in the lines or running out of fuel.

Is it just me or can anyone else here 1 cylinder standing out from the others?

It doesn't sound very good, IE lifter/injector noise or a loose wristpin. Did you turn the idle up? Might need to adjust it to keep her running. What did you do to the engine?

I would back the timing down alot,and pop test all the injectors.

Its fuel delivery for sure. What PSI do you have at IP when this happens?. What kind of LP do you have? Sound is awful, are Injectors new?

Definitely roll back base timing first. Hard to tell if there is a haze of white/blue smoke. Possible hung injector. You can adjust up idle speed on the throttle side of IP. Verify a steady 5-6 psi at IP inlet, or t-valve.

Not sure on psi. Lift pump is used one off a blown up 6.2L (cracked block), I forget the brand. Injectors are newly rebuilt by a diesel shop. I would have no problem replacing the lift pump with a new one as long as I know the knock/tic is not fatal. Here is a picture of my lift pump and fuel filter;

That could be your problem then. If its a 2 micron it might be starving engine of fuel. Try another 30 micron filter or bypass it long enough to see. Do you have another filter close to the engine, the stock one or??
I would plumb in the 30 miron before the LP then the 2 miron up close to the engine.
You could also hook up a 5 gallon can and a LP and temp hook a hose to IP inlet just to see what happens.

Weird looking lift pump? Looks like a pipe bomb.

I can't see how having his filter there would make any difference as long as the 2 micron is AFTER the pump then he's ok.
