Isuzu 4BD2T diesel swap into Suburban

I'm pretty excited today. I think I'm going to fire it up. I'll get the video of it.
My brother got the OptiShift installed for me. He made an adapter harness to go from the OEM 32/24 pin ECM to the OptiShift. Its very nice.
Just need to tidy things up and I think she's on the road again (just cant wait to get on the road again. The life I love......)(Willie Nelson)

Thanks.

Took it for a short spin. She won't shift out of 1st unless I manualy shift and then it won't shift any higher than 2nd. I'll have some time on Thursday to look into it some more. I know it must be something simple.

Engine really sounds good after its warmed up. It has not run in months so it was just setting in a bit. Still smokes more than when in the Isuzu truck. I thought I would have been able to hear the turbo much more than I do. Need to get a boost gauge hooked up. Turbo still has the silencer ring on it also.
Anyway one day at a time.

Congrats Leroy

Both those videos were Willie singing on the road again, no start up video.

Now it's there

It's strange, the first time I looked both post 221 and 222 had the video of Willie.

I have seen the numbers somewhere, but can only find a 4bd1t right now. The 4BD2T has more tq/hp.
4BD1T 105@2500 240@1600 cr17.5:1

250hp and 4-500#tq should be very doable from all the reports I have heard. Back in the early posts in this thread I mentioned I know a guy that has had his dyno'ed at 500hp and 850# tq to the ground! That is basicaly a stock long block, but larger injectors, twin turbo, IP.
