Ok, I'm still working on my '95 Burb. When I brought it home I seized the NV4500. It was dry from oil and I didn't know, so it seized up doing 55MPH. I brought it to a friend and he tore it down and replaced everything that was needed and put it back together. I installed it and once everything was buttoned up and there was OIL in it, I tested it out. 1-2-3-4 fine, shift into 5th and then go to downshift and the shifter comes to the neutral position, but the trans stays in 5th! Take the tower off, shift into neutral with a screwdriver. Put the tower on and bring it home in 4th. Once home, I can't get it into 5th or reverse. Put the t-case in neutral and fool around and it starts to work again. 5th and reverse work fine. Take it for another drive...ARGGGGHHHH screws up again. :mad2: So, either it won't go into 5th/reverse, or, when it does, ithe trans will stay in 5th and the shifter will come out and go into neutral.
Any ideas?
I'm getting really frustrated...
Thanks,:grouphug:
