Intercooler with GMx vs. ATT-no cooler

I can't remember my exact weigh Louis, but I would guess 2500# maybe 3000# more than me.

I don't think 2 extra wheels on the back makes any difference, tire life is double a single rear wheel with the same weight. My 1 ton is probably 1500 lbs heavier than a 1500 at most. Matt's truck is the heavy one with the service body. The heavier drive components would take some extra power.

2 extra wheels, HEAVY ASS DRUMS...more springs, alot of unsprung weight, it without a doubt takes more energy move/stop them.

Louis got me beat by 500lbs. I run 9500 when I consider myself 'empty'. However, it feels more like I'm already full :)

i think it started when turbine doc first had the att and his torque converter was broken or something and it wasnt putting all the power to the ground. you guys can wade through te 30 or so pages of the replacement turbo thread but im pretty sure he said something about it in there.

That is correct. IIRC TD also stated that he saw some lag using the ATT with his ATA and he took it out of the loop. IIRC The ATT had some lag with homebrewed ATA's but since it runs lower EGT/IATs an ATA isn't nessicary anyway from what I have read. Been following it for sometime while I contemplate a future turbo for my CUCV. Finally went with a GM4 FOR NOW for simple cost reasons. VW Lupo hooked me up with a great deal on his with TM so That is my route for now. the stock 6.2 can't handle alot of boost so the ATT may have been a better choice but funding for now limited it. Can always be added later plus wasn't sure what issues might arise from inj angle of the 6.2 and still not sure if I'm going to make the 6.5 manifold fit or just use a Banks sidwinder l/s manifold and fab the rest.

Mine is 6000lbs with me in it and almost 80 gallons of fuel, I also only have 2WD. Extra wheels also means more rolling resistance.

I thought the regular 1 tons were at least 8000lbs

9940 lbs according to the "Certified" scale at the scrap yard.....without me in it and probably a 1/2 tank of fuel.
