I have a fuel pressure ?

I found the problem today, and must admit I feel foolish. The drain hose was pinched between the I/P and the valley of the block. I couldn't see it readily because of a plastic sheath over the hose. It had begun leaking and I was wondering why I smell fuel after driving but there were no puddles under the truck so I dismmissed it at the time. The FFM was pretty clean but I'm glad I took it off and cleaned it, it had little black balls of grease or corroded fuel or whatever it was. Now all is good with fuel system. I would post some pics of it but I don't know how.

Doesn't explain why you had little coming out of the bleeder though...

How about now?

Its good to get right in there..... Well done!

If there is a large enough leak it would lose pressure at the drain and petcock

Although almost all stock like LPs lose flow capability after only a year, and if the stock LP isnt the issue there is almost always a current limiting OPS in OBD1 trucks to keep the flow capability down. Under no flow they may be able to create 5-7psi, but under flow demand fall on their face. And the water drain is prefilter so testing there provides good insight, but not the true pressure at the IP.

I can't explain it but fuel is coming out of the filter bleed at a decent clip. What would you think if a FP/G was plumbed in right at the I/P fuel inlet. I wouldn't get any more accurate than that? easier on the return hose on I/P. but don't know how accurate it would be there. Should I also unplug the fuel heater on the ffm. Thanks Rob
