I have a fuel pressure ?

Fuel should run out while running. If it doesn't, and dies or stumbles, you've got a delivery problem.

Maybe 7-10 pounds at idle.

I hollowed the cat. The motor is getting fuel and runs fine. What bothers me is that if the pump isn't pumping enough to blow fuel out the valve on the t-stat,than I'm essentially running lean because fuel isn't up to proper pressure at the i/p. or it's clogged between the housing and the hose. I need to get a reading somewhere to verify the pressure or lack thereof.

Check for air restrictions or turbo not working on the high EGTS... clogged exhausts.....

Boost keeps EGT's down up to a point....

WOT you may be pushing the turbo pasts its point of offering efficient work, thus cranking up the IAT's, resulting in HIgher EGT's, on top of heavy engine load.

Ambient temps will have a lot to do with your EGT's also, as it causes the IAT's to go up, which directly effect EGT's. So alot of things have to come into play to say 'sometimes 1300, sometimes 1000'...

I've heard oil additive adds some EGT gain as oil has more BTU's than diesel... etc, so fuel quality can come into play as well as something a little less obvious like a stuck e-brake or shoe.

Your downpipe is known to be an internally collapsed POS. Repalce the downpipe if nothing else. That might be your answer.

D/P andC/O came in today and I will install on thurs. Why is there no fuel coming out the valve on the t-stat, which I also just put in 10 min. ago. I will lick this if it kills me or breaks me. I'm determined and stubborn and will make this thing run like 10 good men.

Does fuel come out of the bleeder screw at the top of the Fuel filter? When vehicle running?

If you have such LOW fuel pressure that your IP is taking it all, there would be none left to go out the water drain. So truck wouldn't stall, but not happy either. Need to do pressure test, preferably PRE-IP which is after the fuel filter, but easiest at that water drain (t-valve), but that measures the dirty side of the filter, so actual IP pressure will be lower, possibly by alot, but if it was a clogged filter, that water drain should be spewing.

Probably weak/failing lift pump or clog somewhere, possibly tank sock, or leak between LP and tank. Do pressure check.

I do put 1/2 a qt. of 30wt. in the tank at every fill-up. But I just flushed the rad and I only have water in it right now. I wanted to drive it a 2 days and drain again to get residual out before I refill with 50/50. Maybe a little air in the system now, but it doesn't go above 200f.

Can I use a holley f/p that i already have or do I need a walbro for fuel compatibility. The f/f is new and I don't want keep throwing 200 a week at this truck but I need it next month and breaking down or worse, blowin up, will cost more.

the factory pumps are flow on fail so even if it dies a good ip will get you home. Need to check on that Holley.
